...what would you do at the moment?

Considering all the bullshit politics going on at the moment with the senior players and the poor season we are having at the moment, as a younger player on the Carlton list, how would you deal with all of this?

Prepare well, have pride in your own performance, love the opportunity to play AFL and enjoy the commradrie of your teammates with the same approach. No probs with Fisher, Simpson and Carrazzo. :)

train hard, put in 110% on the field and hope to be congratulated with good comments from the coaches, players and the media...

If i was a young player i would do everything to grab an oppertunity to cement myself in the team and play regular AFL and show the Hierachy how good an asset i am to the club..
The oppertunity is here now with all the problems with our senior core.

As one of the great coaches of the past said " seize the day" time to step up and help rebuild the club back to a future power and be part of the journey

A young player at Carlton has an opportunity to captain a premiership team one day in the future if he keeps his head and gets the most out of himself.
The club will inch its way back up... these kids better do everything in their power to help and be part of it .
the result will be glorious...

That sums up nice;y everything Iw as thinking.

Their chance is there, they need to make the most of it in the remainder of the season

Much like the others.

If I was Kade Simpson, Andrew Carrazzo, Eddie Betts or Andrew Walker, I'd be doing my darndest to prove to the MC that I was capable of playing in the middle for 4 quarters.

How? Courage, discipline, committment, accountability, teamwork, sacrificial acts, foicus second efforts, shepherds, encouraging others, backing up team-mates when confronted by opponents, actively listening to instructions, understanding your role in the team, gameplan and your role each week, maximising learning opportunities, objectively analysing your own perfomance, astutely studying opponents and opposition tactics, leading by example and taking neccesary risks.

Exemplifying the Carlton motto - "Healthy mind, Healthy body"

I believe some of our youth are taking on board some of what I have listed above. Guys like Andrew Carrazzo, Brad Fisher, Kade Simpson, Eddie Betts, Jarrad Waite, Bret Thorton and Luke Livingston. It's plain to see that these guys are putting in 110%, giving it their absolute all to become an integral part of the "next generation" and their recent performances are proof of both how committed they are to this goal, as well as how persistance nearly always equals rewards.

I, like you, am sickened on a weekly basis by the 22 men the Carlton Football Club fields each week in the AFL and calls it a "team".

But damn me, I love watching those guys named above, they are all going to be really, really good AFL players, and monitoring their progress and being rewarded for my patience makes watching CFC a worthwhile experience.

I love the club, and I love everyone else here who loves it as much as I do. I never thought there were other people who loved the Blues like I do and share similar opinions. I log on daily, rarely post, I sometimes post bullshit just to liven the place up, but damn me, I love this f***ing site.

Peace, my Blue Brothers and Sisters.

Go the Mighty Blueboys!

Yep, starting them on the bench is bullshit when we need our kids to come thru.
Throw them into the action I say. Look how carrazzo has come on in a few weeks of being given his head.

How they can name 1AW on the bench is completely beyond me.

If I was a young player on the Carlton list I would;

Train the house down
Work hard on my six pack
Get a stunning girlfriend(s) who only say(s) yes
Win games & premierships off my own boot
Sign a 5 year $4m contract + bonuses

But alas;

I’m not young
Have more of a keg than a six pack
Have a wife who knows how to say no
2 dodgy knees & no football ability
A job that pays the bills

Cometh the moment, cometh the man.

We'll grow from this dark period. Waite, Walker, Carrazzo and Simpson have all put their hands up. We have some decent cornerstones.
