The goosebump moments for me are when Kouta kicked those two quick goals in the last quarter. We looked shaky up until then and could have choked. Everyone in the crowd behind the goals went ballistic with the first one when he dodged Champion.
I agree, it was pretty special. I remember the 'Kou-ta' shout go up afterwards. He was up there with some of the 'goosebump' champions of the past in Jezza and Crosswell, in being able to do freakish things on a footy field.
The start to the 1982 grandfinal was pretty special too, with 3 goals IIRC in the opening 2 minutes.
Other special moments for me were the comeback against Collingwood after Magro knocked Jezza out. The day Bosustow touched the sky against Geelong. And all those barnstorming comebacks in the premiership quarter, and the floorboards of the grandstands thundering.
But nothing beats the 70 grandfinal. I remember listening to the 3UZ 'lp' over and over again growing up, and I know parts of Harry Beitzel's call off by heart. 'It's bouncing and bouncing and bouncing ... and it's a goal!' Still gives me goosebumps thinking about it.
