I think Laurence Angwin has proven to be a mistake Fev seems to be the head case here

Also heard some members of the board had been purposely feeding info to Caro to 'soften the blow' for Blues fans if we lose Fevs..

Interesting stuff.

I think they have been doing it all year for Whitnall, Campo and Lappin. Especially Caro in the media. Long odds now of all of these 4 blokes still being here next year.

My issue is not so much that these blokes may leave, but more that the negative press continues to hurt both the club's reputation and the trade value of the players involved. It really does appear to be a rudderless ship at the moment and it is really difficult to work out to whom blame should be apportioned. It's just so sad to see the club fall into this bottom feeder mentality.

This amazes me

Given that there were a few from this board that attended the B&F I'm somewhat surprised this wasnt raised earlier in the forums. Did anyone actually see/hear anything?

As for Fev, whilst it gives me no pleasure in saying this, I've been saying for 2 years that he isnt worth keeping and we would be foolish to base our rebuilding around someone as erratic as him- if what was reported in the paper was true I'd trade him at the earliest opportunity.

If the board choose to retain Whitnall over Fevola, there is something seriously wrong. Are we actually moving forward? Why don't we get rid of Campo and Lappin? Where is this tough stance Collins is supposed to be taking. All I see him doing is sucking up to the AFL.

Glad to hear of the interest in Lance. Also glad the deal they have offered is 300 by 2 years. That is reasonable and fair to both parties. I just hope they dont cave into his demands. If another club is happy to pay 400 then let them. If it is WC then put Kerr on the table.

Not me - I've always said whitnall before Fev. Having said that though, I dont think I would be willing to pay around 400k for whitnall -350k is reasonable though.

They should all take a good hard look at the way Waite plays (God knows what he must be thinking he's worth), the way Fisher flies for marks in his first game back, the way Wiggins busts his gut for a game and the emotion Stevens showed in the loss to Melbourne.
If they aren't prepared to do the same then they can all go and join Elliott in Never Neverland.

So we are going to sack Fev for having too many drinks and saying something disrespectful at a work function ... if that was the hard and fast rule in all workplaces, there would be plenty of people who wouldn't be required to turn up to work after their staff Xmas party every year...

sure Fev may be a dropkick, but he is the most talented dropkick we have got by quite a way ... Get him to pull his head in but don't give him away.

If Fev goes to the West Coast or St Kilda, we will be effectively handing them the next 3-4 premierships. I know we should be more concerned with building our list but you don't just hand other clubs a premiership on a platter...you do your best to make them earn them.

If it was his first transgression, it would be less of an issue. If he wasnt the 'face' of the club, it wouldnt be an issue either. If he wasnt contracted for 400+k/year and expected to help lead the club into the future it could be overlooked.

The fact is he needs to lift his game in so many areas that its not funny. But then given that it's Fev, some people will make any excuse for him

LANCE Whitnall has given Carlton an ultimatum – up the ante on a new contract or he'll walk.

He's had one good season since 2000. Just turned 26. How many more good years is he going to have once the pressure is off & he has a new contract?

How far is Lance going to walk if we have No1 pick in the PSD?

When you are an underperforming forward who consistantly hooks your kicks for goal from 30m dead in front, you shouldn't be spending your time at training practicing 'inside out' torps from the pocket.

keep Whitnall over Fev ... pffft
