The issue with Freo for me is Pavlich. He's too fast for Whitnall, too tall for Thornton and too agile for Livo. Livo will play on McPharlin so that's fine but Pavlich will kill us if Thornton doesn't have a very good game.
I wouldn't worry about the forward line.
Out: Fisher
In: Setanta O'hAilpin
the answer - Waite.
we beat them in the midfield, and harass and pressure like we did against melbourne and get plenty of ball to the likes of Waite and Fevola and you may find that they put pavlich on Waite whihc is a win for us.
but for me personally i would go with this.
deluca out - bring in Setanta - i see far more value in playing setanta as much as possible than playing deluca - setanta brings just as much, if not more to the table that deluca. if he is fit, setanta in, deluca out.
fisher out - bring in Russel - i reckon on the open ground that is Subi he could be allowed to run free and have abit of impact, another runner is essential.
Our structure for the first time in a long time was right.
Livingston, Thorton, McGrath, Whitnall, Lapping, Walker in defence
Russel, Stevens, Bentick, French, Kouta, Simpson in the centre
Fevola, Waite, Setanta, Betts, Murphy, Carazzo in attack
looks about right for me, lets be pro-active, let them match us up, be positive and go out with the right mind set, you win that battle and you are already on the front foot.
