What is evident is that we need to reset the culture / mentality through the football department.
Lloyd and Voss have failed and to an extent Williams.
Before we make changes to the playing group, we need to start with these changes and work our way down.
Get the right coach, who builds standards and a football manager who doesn’t accept failure and then start to align with the leadership and list.
If players don’t understand this or aren’t willing to align with these changes, then they can go now, but this is what needs to be actioned ASAP.
If you think a 'reset' of the football department is going to increase the speed, foot skills and IQ of the players, I want what you are on.
Our list is 1 dimensional and coincidentally so is our game plan.
Voss has tried to implement a faster more current plan but the players can NOT execute it, this is why they burn out after 1.5 quarters.
IMO the whole club failed when they thought our list was top 4 last year and we largely only added kids.
That is why we are where we are, sacking the coach is just a band aid approach.
The biggest issue with the playing group mentality is some players have had 3 coaches now and they know it's the coach before them.
A new coach will only continue this entitlement they have as a group and the next coach will be desperate to keep them happy also and then we are back at the start again.
If you want to send the playing group a message, it is the coach stays and you go if you don't step it up.
Time for a different approach from the last 20 years.
Maybe just give me what you’re taking and we can agree that you and I are on different wave length. Let’s see what the ‘experts’ do.
