I'm the same Deano, although I was happy with the effort today.

How do I feel?

f*cking rotten.

I F*cking HATE losing. To ANYONE. Especially those feral dickwads from Port.

The fact that so many people here are celebrating so rampantly says that the system is rooted.

the only team which takes pleasure from their losses is St Kilda.

We ARE NOT St Kilda!

IT'S F-U-C-K-E-D

Carlton has confirmed it is playing to win every game and will not play for draft picks. Mike & Dan from carltonfc.com.au discuss the issue in The Great Debate, now have your say.
Should Carlton play to win or play for picks?
Pride – win the games
54%
Picks – ensure we get the priority
46%

Total votes: 5621

Interesting. And TheGame, I also cheered wildly when Eddie kicked that, but I wanted Port to kick the next one

Same, I was happy with the effort, but losing still sucks.

KK, stop stealing my thoughts :)

PS: Yes, I understand why we need to be down this far, and why it's necessary to take advantage of the system.

DOESN'T STOP IT BEING F-U-C-K-E-D!

Certainly seems that way. Is there some subtle sarcasm in 95% of the posts on this board in the past 8 weeks that I'm not picking up on?

It's too hard to tell anymore!

that's what's so f-ucked about the whole thing!

I know we ALL want carlton to do well, but at what short-term cost?

I know that the long-term is what we're looking towards, but why leave a scorched-earth campaign behind?

It's just not right.

Fevolaaa how many people of the 34,000 members participated in that survey? I know I didn't and I know people who don't use a computer didn't.

i dont enjoy losing at all...that would be F-U-C-K-E-D....the thing is that if we can all get through these last weeks together then we can celebrate in many victories together for years to come...please people, dont let the afl tear us apart as it has been planning to do for years...

i think the biggest thing here is...we are only the supporters..its not like the club is actually listening to what we say...so really all of this is about opinions...
if we were to go to dennis and say right now..."lose"...or "we want to win"...it would be a different story...because then we would actually be affecting what happens....but we are not...the carlton football club is losing week in week out because they are not good enough....so if you lot think we can do it without an injection of young talent then i would happily go along for the ride....but the way its headed...we will get some young talent...and we will be a powerhouse again...

I'm pissed that we didn't win but will more than likely get a PP because of it.But I am also pissed that two Victorian sides didn't win and subsequently kept us on the bottom of the ladder! :?

You're either very naive or just taking the piss...I hope it's the latter.

I cheer and barrack during the game and if the team got across the line I'd feel good for them being able to sing the song. If I had to describe in one word how I feel losing a match I wouldn't use the word estatic or even glad, more probably comical - with a verb like ridicuously before comical.

On a lighter note, a story from today's match. In the MCC members there is a rather well known hilariously passionate Collingwood supporter. He came to today's match instead of going to see his own team because he wanted to see the maggies opposition for next week. In the last quarter when the scores from telstra Dome came up on the screen and the Pies were up by 22 points he started cheering and becoming rather bombastic towards us Carlton supporters. What happened in the next five minutes when the kangas came over the Pies was hilarious. The bloke was verbalising his grief and I've never seen a more frustrated supporter walk out of a ground, and his team were playing somewhere else. The whole bay of people put Carlton's loss aside and were laughing at the Magpie supporters face.

Anyway, if we do happen to get the wooden spoon, we shouldn't refer to it as the wooden spoon, because it is not wooden as we would have the best draft picks, if the 2005 spoon becomes ours we should refer to it as - THE DRAFT PICK SPOON - and consider it as something to wave to the AFL and say,

"Look you bastards, we've got the best draft picks!"

Good thread Camelboy.

I'm not Robinson Crusoe with this line of thinking Budzy.

Call me naive all you like, but I'm reading the same shit you are.

Haha, that's an interesting slant on the current situation I guess.
