Sorry, I just thought this might be more interesting than half the shite posted here in the past 24 hours.

Lots of things can cause yawning, including nervous tension.

I'm nervous about our game against Essendon*. If we win, Collingwood will probably end up with Marc Murphy, and we'll get some mediocre kid at pick 5.

YAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNNNNNNN..........

With all due respect, Dean, if you don't wish to read the stuff that is posted in the TalkingCarlton section, then don't.

You, and many others, have made it quite clear that you hate the priority pick/Marc Murphy/tanking discussion and have said on many times that you prefer the General Forum than this section.

My advice...do what you have said and don't come back in here until Draft Day.

Marc Murphy will be going to Brisbane.

As has been mentioned here many times the difference after Murphy is great, it evens right out after him so it doesn't matter whether you pick at #1 or #5.

Amazed to see so many Moderators and Administrator's so heavily supporting tanking. Obviously you're not representing the club here, but its interesting.

Well if we get the PP, thats 2 in the top 4. Better than 1 at 5 isn't it?

I reckon there should be a TalkingTanking forum where all the threads that degenerate into a tanking argument can be moved to.
There'd be scant few threads that wouldn't be moved though :?

Pretty sure that this thread didn't degenerate into a tanking argument. It was pretty much begging for such content from the very beginning.

So Murphy is going to Brissy is he??
And it does even out just after him does it????

How deep though?

Did you know that one recruiter told me today that guys in the top 20 are a real chance of being delisted from this draft without playing a game of football??

Scary isnt it?
The thought that after one pick you might not even salvage anything more from this season if you dont get TWO early....

But you keep that head of yours in that hole in the sand you dug for it.. but you better watch out your backside doesnt get buggerised while youre down there....

If that is true Synbad, watch for teams to offload draft picks for ready made players in the Trade Period.

I agree.

*YAWN*

How is it that even THIS thread turns into a tanking argument, FFS?

You're right KK, it got completely off topic.

Remind me again exactly what Deano's topic was?

So how do we know that picks 1-5 aren't just the mediocre equivalent of a top 20 in a normal year if they are playing against guys that are total shite? Perhaps they only look like guns when compared to spitballs??

DannyBoy board.

I hate to go all 'BigFooty', but what's with the dramatic outbursts? People leaving the site, threads like this, it's simply stupid.

People are going to be divided on this issue regardless, why turn the shit into a soap opera?

Why doesn't everyone just stick around, see this period out without forcing their view on others, and see what happens?

Synbad cops a lot of shit for his hardline approach on going for draft picks. Funnily enough, a lot of people have a hardline approach for the "win at all" costs attitude also.

Let's just wait and see what eventuates without turning the place into a joke that other club supporters will come here to look at just to see us bickering amongst ourselves.

Cyclonus, Synbad cops shit, and this thread is a symptom of that, for turning 90% of the threads he participates in into I-know-better-than-all-you-people type threads.

For Christ's sake even this thread got twisted into one!!

There's something rotten in the state of Denmark, and it's at the bottom of a tank.

Piss off, troll

Sorry mate - always wanted to say that to someone! I feel so ... so ... powerful - and yet ... strangely anonymous at the same time

Anywho, it'll all work out in the end, Deano - you'll see [insert winky yellow dot HERE]

You're all tools of the draft system.

"ooh, I want to tank!"

"ooh, I don't want to tank!"

PUPPETS!!!!!

not me though.... I only care about important issues, like Kade Simpson's short hair making him appear quicker over the deck. Also, I care about horses.
