Well done AB, great stuff. Really good guy, works hard, loves the Blues... what else can you say?

How about comment generally on lessons learned for those on the cusp of AFL selection. I thought AB was stiff to get dropped after the Swans game, when Bolton towelled him (and a few others). But what did he do back at the ants? A 20+ possie game in the centre, followed by another. Keep working at it, you'll get your chance, and you have to take that chance when you get it.

And he has now.

I'm so pleased for AB.

ps whats this Adam caper? No one has called him Adam until now! Its AB!

pps - Rookies article from last year where we got to go through the whole Rookie thing with AB. Talk about him seeing the opportunity....

Well done AB.

Great to see the younger players shining when given the chance.

Congratulations AB. Looks like another rookie list success story. The opposition wasn't much on the weekend but you still have to get the ball. Best of luck with the rest of your career!

Can we clone him and use some of the clones to piss the deadwood off at the end of the year?

It's also great to see that AB is "blessed with considerable pace".

Who writes these releases

great effort from AB and a great tonic for the club to have 2 in 3 weeks.

can anyone help me - i have only seen AB play via the tube, but this article from James Wu announcing his nomination describes AB as being blessed with considerable pace!

Believe it or not?

I noticed the 'played 4 matches in 2004' line more. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he debuted in Rd 18 and played the rest of the season, didn't he?

Yep - last week was his 12th game.

Last year Rounds 18-22 and this year Rounds 8-11 and 18-20.

Well done, AB.

He really shone for me in the game against Melbourne last year. I think he spent some time on the pine against Sydney this year? and has worked his way back to be a top player. He seems mentally tough to me - and that is half the battle. Well done.

AB was captain of the Calder Cannons in 2003 I believe.

From all training reports on AB it is his dedication and will to succeed that will make him a great player for Carlton. Who knows, the way he played on Saturday night he may be groomed as a future leader of Carlton, after all he is a premiership captain

PS: I'm still number four ticket holder of the AB fan club so line up behind me :-D

Talk about attention to detail did anyone hear Rohan Connolly on Saturday night on 3AW.

I'm usually a fan but he made a comment along the lines that Bentick has been at the club a long time now...

He also said that Andrew Walker replaced Troy Longmuir in the side but he wasn't sure why Walker wasn't in the side in the first place considering his pretty good form over the past two weeks.

I'm assuming Rohan hasn't taken to going along to Bullants games and he just doesn't know what he's talking about.
