Agree with Tap/79, Bentick's game against the Dees last year was fantastic. I couldn't understand why that form didn't flow over into the earlier part of this season and was worried he may have been a flash in the pan.

Rising Star is a great effort and the fact that we as a club have nominations late in the season is saying something about the young blokes making the difference between wins and fighting efforts over continual leatherings.

AB is a good Catholic boy so he's got heaps of holy saints and dead popes and old women who smell like tea-cake giving him power/stigmata/halos.

Cruel but fair :?

Mind you........ it's hard for those two to get off the Cazzes bandwagon as Mrs Caz drives like a nutter with the wind behind her  (which is me  )

Well done AB - deserved and proved me wrong, at least with the disposals. Hopefully this will give him the confidence to go on and play 100 games or more. If he's half as good as Ratten, we've done well.

Congratulations to AB... well deserved. It is exciting to see the likes of AB and Simmo come through... the makings of a new midfield.

The Age on AB:

Lifelong Blue learns to make most of his chances

Apparantly it was his speech making that attracted him to Pagan:

Quote:
Bentick, in making a gracious victory speech — Calder Cannons regional manager Ross Monaghan had given him a few pointers about the niceties of the occasion, as he had prepared captains in other years "just in case we won" — caught the attention of Denis Pagan.

Agreed.

Quote:

I'm on the AB bandwagon now!!!

Perhaps it's meant to be ironic?

Good effort, AB. Surely that must spell the end for Brett Johnson.

Are you assisting the re-development OO as an elite training venue then?

Johno's not good enough. Would've been a good player for Morrabbin bogs circa 1980.

You suck ... suck ... suck ... succinctly summed up how I feel, Mrs Caz

...

Bloody stutter

* scuttles away to his corner wondering whether he's crossed the zero tolerance line or has, in fact, scored with a mightily witty bit of wordplay *
