ahhhhh...... the pussies at pp again!

lets hope milburn doesnt knock some one out this time.

I can see the tide has turned and the mighty blues are on the up and the cats are beginning to slip, this season it is time to show how hard we are, and let those witth handbags to get out of the way.

Pre season game means little but winning is a habit and one the boys need to get used to.

On the whole, we've mostly owned the Cats the last couple of seasons anyway.

Saturday afternoon footy at Princes Park, it is going to be like old times.

Now all we need are the random letters associated with the scores of the other five games, the quaddie and the raffle result on the scoreboard.

And the peanuts guy at the Heatley end...

Haha. That would be super. They should do it, just as a joke

A vs B, G vs H, L v M

I still remember the old days after the game and you would see stacks of people standing in front of the scoreboard waiting for the final scores from other games to be posted. They had their records out awaiting the outcome. And every now again there would be a cheer if there was an upset or the Pies went down!!

Yeah, and I used to work the clock in the scoreboard!

The halcyon days.

Love reading all these recollections and memories. My first trip to the ground was round 19, 1995. It's funny how looking back the game was pretty close, and the Brisbane Bears gave us a bit of a scare. For 7 year old me the game was never in doubt. There was no chance the Bears would beat us, the Blues, especially not at Princes Park. I'd waited to go for so many years and finally getting the chance to go and see a Blues win at our home was so very exciting, and a fait accompli..

Princes Park is our home and no matter the stakes or circumstances you always love the opportunity to go home.

Enjoyed my first visit to our Home ground Friday and plan to be back Saturday.

A slightly battered look but I reckon it could be used versus dumpdome for some smaller games like Brisbane/Gold coast amd we'd do very well out of it.

Ah well I'll enjoy the chance for a second look Saturday.

I think the best outcome would be to get the Bullants to play their home games there and tahts the best outcome for us

I always tried to watch the scores change after a goal on the scoreboard, but as soon as I looked up after the ump signalled goal, it was already changed. They were like lightning.
I reckon they must have used the crowd noise.

The last few years they used to play some music before the game started for "atmosphere". It was always Ricky Martin's "Cup of Life" but I can't remember the others. They were the same songs week after week, year after year.

Yes, they opened up the car park behind the Gardiner / Elliott stand and it was $2 or $4 to park.

Haha ... I remember that too. The scoreboard was lightning fast - it seemed they often had the score up before the goalie signaled. The earlier reference to the peanut guy also bought a big smile to my face.

Great memories ..... never missed a game at Princes Park as a teenager and young man .... until kids came along and their sport took over .... now as a nearly empty nester really enjoying a renewed passion for the Blues on the rise.

Looking forward to another saturday arvo at PP.

I remember 'The Coors' being played almost every week for a while there!
