The Melbourne cup when Makybe Diva won her third one .

As for football , the SCG when Plugger kicked THE goal . The whole football world seemed to be yelling when a long-standing Collingwood recond went out the door .

+1 abns!

I was at that game with my folks and brother down the Heatley stand end and after the ball sailed through we were hi-fiving and hugging complete strangers.

Sticks was vindicated....

I do remember one for the wrong reason, and that was when Jezza was cleaned up by Magro - it went from a roar to anger

The noise at PP was bloody loud when Jezza got flattened and when Buz took that mark

But the loudest crowd I have ever been in was when Kathy Freeman won gold - never heard anything like it

One that you can guarantee being loud, is teh first day of the Boxing Test and we bowl first and there is a shout for an LBW - they are generally pretty good especially if a Victorian is bowling.

Imagine the roar when Lillee bowled Viv Richards at the end of the day to have the Windies 4 -10, that would have been awesome to be at. I didnt go to that test but I have hardly missed a test since the 82/83 test when we nearly pinched it.

Warnie chants were great, he got a massive cheer when broke teh record againts the Poms a few years back in teh last series.

Loudest cheer was Fev's mark vs Hawthorn in 2009... Cant remember what happened next :(((
The noise from the Blues fans when the siren sounded against the Scum both in the '99 Prelim and Rnd 3 2007 was pretty deafening as well....
Also the crowd noise during both wins against the Filth in 2008 were extrordinary, particularly when Grigg kicked the sealer in the first encoundter to guarantee our win and break our 14 match losing streak....

That Hawthorn game when Fev took that mark and missed the game winner, easily the loudest roar, the ground on level 2 was shaking. I'll never forget it

One of the largest I have heard at a non-Carlton game was in the 1984 GF when Timmy Watson goaled in the last qtr, that seemed to most people at the ground that it was Essendon*'s flag - I hated the result but I still get goosebumps when i think of that incident

We can still remember vividly the '82 GF late in the final quarter; when Mark Maclure was on his knees on the boundary line out on the flank.

He got the call; and pushed the ball behind him to a running Alex Marcou, who ran in from the angle and dobbed the winning goal.....and didn't we all go beserk!

Memories are made from footy like that.......... :thanks:

Great memory that, big Sellers beat I think it was Emmett Dunne and knocked it out to Marcou just in front of the players race - how straight was that kick by Marcou, it never looked like missing after it left his boot

Thats one of the reasons Maclure was so good for us at CHF, he did a lot of the bullocking work that at times went unnoticed

Watching the Blues for 40+ years I have experienced a lot of crowd-freaking moments most of which have been mentioned above but nothing comes close to Jezza's goal to seal the 1970 GF. I was behind the goals to where it was heading and when it crossed the line the whole place just erupted (still get a tingle just thinking about it
