The next 5 years are the most important ever for cfc. Why?Because we are losing touch with the competition in most departments.

I am no economical wiz but lets hope we can get back on track and put the Elliott years well and truly behind us.

At the minute we can't attract a crowd over 20000 at the G when we play the interstaters which we need to break even.We must at least be competitive in most games and make our supporters turn up.

Players that should be delisted include Bannister,Bowyer,Chambers
Clarke,Johnson,Longmuir,Prendegast,Norman,Sporn.I dont know what their contractual situation is,but I can't see a future for these players who have had ample opportunity at AFL level.

The largest concern for me is leadership which has been poor for 4 years. It didn't just happen last weekend.Kouta will see out the last year as simply a player which will be good for him.Whitnall is the obvious candidate because he has shown the most leadership qualities of all the senior list.He will be 26 today and is cherry ripe for the captaincy.Despite his lack of pace and poor kicking at times Whitnall has been impressive when the chips have been down. The leadership group needs a knew direction and should be made up of young players with good heads on young shoulders.Bentick,Fisher,Carrazzo,Scotland and Waite should lead the club into the future.

Campo and little boy should be offered minimal contracts as both will be 30 next year.(one year)

This is just the start of things. The place needs a major overhaul. This is not a kneejerk response to last week's debacle. This has been going on for 4 years.

Lets hope the recruiters have looked far and wide not just for talent but kids who can lead our club into the future and are not flower who are great athletes.

As for Fevola why sign him for 3 years.Patience will run out unless he changes.A radical plan.Play him at full back and see what happens. We need extra strength down back,The forward line has been ok with Fev contributing minimally and it might turn him around. Not as crazy as it sounds. He did ok last week on Lloyd.

I think we should play kids and nothing but kids for the next three years. After we get the number 1 and 4 draft pick three years in a row we should be ready to try and win again.

How can you possibly say that Chambers has had plenty of opportunity at AFL level when his season has been plagued by injury?

How many years did he have with West Coast?

Yes but he found it hard to get a game because of the class of the WC midfield. Do you think he can't get a game in our super talented midfield or he doesn't have the talent to?

Who knows? I'd probably give him another year too, I was just making the obvious point.

Isn't Chambers one of the hardest workers out on the track? Or at least he seem to be in pre-season. I always think that people who try their guts out week in and week out should be given a little more latitude.

Obviously I have seen no games this season apart from the occassional replay that is sent to me, but he seems to go alright and is not the worst player on our list.

Hopefully, if he is a gun on the track some of that can rub off on the guys who have more talent but lest commitment.

I'd like to see him on the list still next year.
