Spewing, does that mean that young Blackwell won't be playing in the VFL finals ? Pity, he was coming along very well for the Bullants.

Was the broken jaw last week or the week before when Ed Darcy did a Byron Pickett by veering off the line of the ball?
The replay of the match should be on ABC2 tonight so I'll be watching to see when he was injured.
Livo or Russell in for Fev not Houlihan!

You get promoted for playing well. Livo & Russell haven't played well enough, whereas Houlihan has. Have a good look at the game tonight & you'll see.

Houlihan is finished at Carlton
If he plays this week it is only through DP being desperate

I think others are more informed on this than you :)

Have been reliabely informed that Houla is a required player for next season and has been sent back to work on his deficiencies. He'll be back when he earns his place, which could very well be this week

Houla is trade bait.
If he makes it it better serve as a warning ....

I think he will stay.. cant see us getting anything worth while for him..

I like the plan for Houla. He certainly has talent that we need in our side. Sure he is soft, but he can work on that. Perhaps he can close his eyes when he lays that blinding tackle and then opens them again when the ball bursts free and he can scoop it up to lay a pin-point pass onto Waitey's chest.

Remember Scotland was dropped mid-season for a couple of weeks in the reserves and look at him now. He has been going gang-busters for the past 2 months.

Houla's a required player. Will not be traded. Would not be playing 2's if was trade bait.

I don't have any specific info on them but my guess is they will simply be delisted & not offered for trade. So guys playing 2's will either be kept or delisted but not traded.

I am, it's half time! And I've already seen Houlihan over-run the ball on one occasion and stuff-up a perfect Deluca tap to Blackwell!
Also saw Jordan Russell stuff up like Griffen but also make up for it! Created the play by backing his pace and then kept running 50 metres to receive and kick accurately running flat out!

So you watched an entire half & couldn't find one positive thing to say about him. Have you ever?

Tell someone who cares! And I'll give you a clue, he coaches another club!

You might be right Synbad. I Can't see us getting a top 20 pick for him which is what he is worth cos he does have ability.

You can work on your skills, you cant work on being soft....Tony Shaws outbust didnt do Houlihans trade value much good and I think Houlihan's trade value would be minimal especially with him on reasonable money...
If we get more talent onto the list ie Murphy, Ellis or the like I think Ryans days of commanding a spot due to his skill level alone are over.....

How does Marc Murphy play compared to Luke Blackwell? Blackwell looks a terrific young player and is improving every week.

Houla has no ability to defend whatsoever his second anbd third efforts are below standard, he is a liability to the team when the team does not have the ball; trade him now before it's too late..
