At the risk of being flamed ----- by a few ----- I say that all 3 deserve it. Well done lads.

Agree.

Scotland has pulled his finger out and has played some good footy over the past 5-6 weeks.
Carrots has been playing great footy all year and I expect him to finish top 3 in the Big Nick Medal.
Have always liked DeLuca and reckon he has been given a hiding on here.
He'll come good.

PJ, Deluca seems like he could be anything.... watching him recently at Bullant games he gets his hands to dozens of marks.......

He only holds a few!

Needs a lot more work and has been overtaken by the new WOOF!

Scotland has been our most consistent midfielder over the past 2 months easily.

Deluca I haven't been impressed with this year but i am willing to give him another chance next season. Really needs to work on his ruck work as he will never be a key forward for us.

No need to comment on Carrazzo.

Hardly fair, Mjonc.
Hasn't played much this year.

Disagree with most of you.

Carrazzo deserves a two-year deal as fair reward for playing nearly every game this season. However, I would have put Scotland & DeLuca on one-year deals to ensure that they are always under pressure to peform.

I think Carrazzo deserved his contract and Scotlands form of late saved him. Deluca can't ruck, hold a mark or play as a defender. Should have shopped him around to see if any netball teams needed a goal attack.

Shiek there is the aim to get some stability into a playing group. Scotland has played well of late, and will get better the more accountable our midfield becomes. Carrots no probs. DeLuca does something that none of our other forwards do, he busts packs and if he doesn't mark the ball it comes to ground - that is very handy commodity. He'll be useful for us with a full preseason under his belt.

PJ i understand he had no pre-season, but fitness doesn't effect your ability to mark the ball, ask Corey McKernan. Both very similar players IMO.

Both tall, both can't mark, both can't ruck.

I hope he proves me wrong, but i hoped that about Corey also.

I understand where you are coming from Danny, it's just that I wouldn't want to see Scotland & DeLuca 'go missing' again. Whilst the playing group needs stability, it also needs talent and players who are a little more deperate. It's amazing how many player seem to find that 'extra leg' when their contract is up for renewal.

but it is a balancing act, too many on 1 year and the cards fall over, too many committed too and you're stuck. Think Carlton are tyring to find a balance without losing unity - this is also why I think calls of 12 - 14 being cut are too high. 6/7 plus trades (if they happen) may be all.

Let's sack em all shall we? We won't have a team but who cares about that.

Lets be serious here, there are far worse players on our list then Deluca and Scotland. Let's get rid of them before we start getting rid of the players who actually perform occasionally.

Mate, time to see an optometrist !!

Please feel free to quote where I have said sack those two guys ??

Try sticking to the point instead of aiming for some cheap notoriety with the dying swan act.

3 year deals for Fevola and Waite.
2 year deals for Scotland, Walker, Carrazzo and DeLuca
1 year deal for Livingston

not signing Whitnall so if he wants and we want a trade it can be done easily.

Not signing Campo and Lappin to unreasonable 3 year deals.

Really Carlton has got everything right there in my opinion. Plenty of scope for trades. Fev locked away for 3 years. Could be a worry but it is worth the risk on him.

Congrats to all three.
Scotto really has to CONSISTANTLY deliver next year. He's good enough to be a permenant top 5 b&fer imo.
Archie and Carrots just need to keep working hard at training and continue to improve. No going backwards next year fellas.
