That's interesting. Didn't Robert Walls say he was one we should be building our future around?

Robert Walls?
The same guy who said 3 mins into last week that we was home?
I listen to Robert Walls like i listen to Mike, with a grain of salt.

Congrats on the boys for signing, Carrazzo will win the B&F this year, Scotlands last 6 weeks have been shit hot, now lets just hope he continues his form. Dannyboy hit the nail on the head about Archie being able to bust a pack. No other foward trys to do this as of late. Digby was doing it for awhile but hasn't really had a chance this year.

Bryan took a great pack mark on the weekend, wasn't allowed because a free kick had been paid up field.

Congrats on all three for the contracts. Have doubts about De Luca but Heath has stood up of late and Carrots is a sheer joy to watch.

Another 3 players that are OBVIOUSLY at odds with DP and the club :? .

I reckon ADL is quite lucky - the powers that be must see something in him that I don't.

Scotto has been a favourite of mine since he left the swines  and Carrazzo is looking 'solid'.

Let's be honest though, these blokes (with the exception of Carrazzo) won't be leading us to our next flag - they may play a role as 'depth' in our next finals appearance, but they aint quality players.

I'm not so sure. Remember Mario Bortolloto? Not a greta player but did a job for us. I think Scotland and DeLuca and be the same, they can do a job for us. Not all players can be A graders  but all sides never all players doing their bit.

Absolutely, DB. We need all parts of the machine working together, but these guys will never step up to a level we need to go the distance, and no doubt their contracts reflect their ability.

The young blokes we recruited last year and this, will have to leap frog these blokes for us to be half a chance of finals.

Delucs marking was pretty good in his first year at the club.
Always liked Scotland
Carrazzo deserevd his deal. He is one of the few who actually earnt the money they are on.

Delucas hands are just a confidence thing. Once that clicks he will be star. One of the quickest tall players in the league, his kciking is better than half our midfields and he has great skills below his knees.

We just pick the one negative we have about the guy. Same with Houla. Great skills but coz he is soft we give him shit. Youd think people would start to look at the positives by now. His inability to get into games this year probably had something to d wtih his fitness (no pre-season).

Once his hands click( if they ever do) he will be a star

Why did we sign Deluca and Carrazzo for two year deals when they will be delisted next year?

Both of them have huge question marks on their ability and are C grade players at best. They'll both fall in the pecking order next year.

I would have signed deluca to one. I doubt his price will go up significantly next year

His price went up significantly last year when he had a solid season at CHF.

Second year blue for Deluca.. people are riding him off too easily after pre season and mid season injuries. He needs a big pre-season.

He also has no right side and can't mark.

Lets be serious here, there are far worse players on our list then Deluca and Scotland. Let's get rid of them before we start getting rid of the players who actually perform occasionally.

Mate, time to see an optometrist !!

Please feel free to quote where I have said sack those two guys ??

Try sticking to the point instead of aiming for some cheap notoriety with the dying swan act.

My very simple to comprehend point was that we've got bigger fish to fry then Deluca and Scotland. And you made a pretty stupid comment regardless. Scotland had a great year last year when he wasn't up for contract renewal and Deluca hasn't exactly been staring in the seniors of late has he?

And please leave Warrick Capper out of this.

Aaah, no, it wasn't that cut & dry buddy, you accused me of saying we should sack those players where I clearly did not at any stage suggest such a thing.

Furthermore, Scotland did have a good season last year but most players do first up at a new club, ever thought he may have wanted to rub the Pies nose in it ??

How astute of you Andain, DeLuca hasn't been starring this year, absolutely correct. And either has Scotland either given the high standard he set last year. Therefore, giving them both 2-year deals is not what I consider to be good player management.

Nice try with the Capper gag, quite lame in the delivery but at least you were trying.

You can't build a new list by delisting every non a-grader every year. SOme perhaps non 10 year players still need to be retained for more than one season.

Shiek there is the aim to get some stability into a playing group. Scotland has played well of late, and will get better the more accountable our midfield becomes. Carrots no probs. DeLuca does something that none of our other forwards do, he busts packs and if he doesn't mark the ball it comes to ground - that is very handy commodity. He'll be useful for us with a full preseason under his belt.

I understand where you are coming from Danny, it's just that I wouldn't want to see Scotland & DeLuca 'go missing' again. Whilst the playing group needs stability, it also needs talent and players who are a little more deperate. It's amazing how many player seem to find that 'extra leg' when their contract is up for renewal.

Let's sack em all shall we? We won't have a team but who cares about that.

 Can you post something constructive rather than using stupid emotional tactics like that. That's like me saying kouta had an average game and you misconstruing my comments by saying "Well let's trade him then". Don't go so over the top. Mate, pull your head in! :!:

Strange that we gave him two years true but most ruckman take a while to really make a impact. They must feel that when he's got some bulk on him he could become a solid ruckman for us.
