We Lost.

We got the spoon.

We got the first pick and the Precious PP.

The next F*cker who starts a f*cking thread about f*cking tanking in season 06 is going to feel my f*cking wrath.

IT'S OVER. NO MORE TANKING.

TANKING'S FOR LOSERS.

ALWAYS HAS BEEN, ALWAYS WILL BE.

WE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER ST KILDA.

im with KK

the sooner the AFL get rid of the PP and the current system they have the better.

ive said it once and i will say it again.

9 - 16 to go into a barrel for first round selection order.
1 - 8 to go into a barrel for second round selection order.

what order the come out in is the order in which they get their picks.

I agree Prez, although I don't think you need to do it with the Top 8 teams.

I also think it should be weighted so the team that finishes 16th has a slightly greater chance of getting pick 1 than the team who finished 15th and so on.

Stuff tankin next year if we are not competative next year after getting some good picks and the PSD and do some good trades i will be mighty peeved off. I neva want to go through a season like we have had this year i dont care if mr double judd is in the next draft i just want to see a competative Blues outfit next year that i can go to the match saying we have just as much chance as our opposition when we face em..

SO i am with you KK on this one no more of this BS finish for picks next year we have to be competative

This years picks will have basically no impact next year. I hope the priority picks stay cause we will be down the bottom again.

I really hope people don't get their hopes up too high for next season. We have pretty much the worst list in the league, a fact borne out by our last-place finish in a year where we had an excellent run with injuries.

To expect that we'll improve much by this time next March is fanciful. Where's the improvement supposed to come from?

Like some others, I'm prepared for another poor year in 2006. And that doesn't mean we're tanking, it just means we're poor.

Just to make it clear I'm pretty much anti-tanking. I'm just having a little fun.

Well I was at the game today and I didn't notice the sky falling, and I have a vague suspicion that we will see the Sun rise up in the east tomorrow as well.

Picks 1 & 4 and "The Spew" will have to call remove his lips off Ron Evans arse long enough on National Draft Day to say "Carlton" and "Pick Number 1" in the same sentence.

Wait till we lose our draft picks again Demetriou and his wa*k*rs must be trying to get some more shit on our club so we can lose them.

I know where you coming from Prez but I don't agree with that system. Using this year as an example, what if the draft order went like this,

1. WB
2. Essendon*
3. Richmond
4. Hawthorn
5. Collingwood
6. Freo
7. Brisbane
8. Carlton

Carlton fans would be pissed off coming last again.

tough shit IMO

the sooner we dont have a "bonus" for finishing last the sooner the game will benefit from it.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the lottery myself, for that very reason. Yes, it would most likely quell the tanking, but that doesn't make it the right solution.

yeah, I would scrap the PP and replace it with a booby prize, like an apron with plastic boobs on it, or a t-shirt that says "I'm with stupid"

We could always have a First and Second Division as was suggested years ago when the VFA had a big TV audience.

Two lots of ten teams playing each other twice each season.

Being relegated to Second division is not a reward for non performance.

It's never going to happen unfortunately and it's just a thought but; it could have been possible then.
