gawn!!! :(

the only guy not having a go today?

sad to see he and the club come down to this. He has been a great player for the club and i feel no animosity towards him. If mid-seasons trades were allowed he could have left in round 10.

No Big Deal if he goes he is 30 so he wouldn't have more then 3 years left for any club.

At least I noticed Davies was out there, I can only remember seeing Lappin about twice.

Skinny didn't do too bad.

Our skills were appalling all round, he had a lot of mates when it came to that.

I like Matty a lot, but i'm at the point where if he stays or if he goes I really don't give a shit. If he really feels like he needs to go, then it will leave space for some up-and-comers.

what's the point of writing off players like lappin when we have the likes of david clarke and prenda on the list? are we ever gonna get a decent trade for the likes of lappin, campo, hoops? or just another chambers? let's trim from the bottom rather than persecuting our B grade players just because they aren't champions

Lappin had 13 possessions. Davies 17, which was his best ever.

He was in the Best for Carlton along with Whitnall,Stevens for the game, how can you sack a guy after 1 week back after not playing and kicking 2 of our goals who isn't a full forward.

CARLTON: 4.1, 5.6, 8.9, 12.11 (83)
KANGAROOS: 2.2, 5.7, 11.8, 17.11 (113)

GOALS – Carlton: Fisher 3, Davies 2, Walker 2, French 2, Stevens, Koutoufides, Carrazzo Kangaroos: Rocca 5, Thompson 3, Petrie 2, Jones, Brown, Firrito, Grant, Rawlings, Picioane, Hale
BEST – Carlton: Koutoufides, Stevens, Camporeale, Houlihan, Scotland, Davies, Whitnall Kangaroos: Harvey, Wells, Grant, Brown, Makepeace, Colbert, Harris, Rocca

Davies should have a place in the team. I hope we keep him and Pagan says " Kid we're gonna give ya 22 games next year, I have faith in you "

Lappin looked very dis-interested. If he goes I hope we get a pick from 10-20 for him.... or is that wishfull thinking?

It's all about perceptions I guess.
For mine Davies had some horrible moments during the game and does not keep his feet.
Again my opinion, based on my perceptions, is we should trade Lappin if he wants to go,who cares, we won't be going anywhere for three years so load up on draft picks.
Pagan gives him free run to go where he wants also, so hope he enjoys standing a man and filling a role at any club in the top eight. The grass is always greener (except at the Dome).

I would love Matty to stay but I'm not sure he wants to anymore. Hopefully we find find a deal for him that suits both parties. We get some value and he gets a chance to play finals football before he finishes up. Although I'm not a fan I think Davies will stay, if for no other reason than the need to have some depth in the club.

He has been continually good for the club over a number of years. The lad has had a bad year, something that happens to nearly every player at some stage. Not ready to cast him aside yet.

If you could read anything into his expression when they showed a close-up of him after the game I'd say he's as good as gone.

yea. thats why i started the thread. watched the game on foxtel and he didn't just look like that at the end of the game, it was every time he went for a contest. He wasn't bad yesterday, just looked like it was all over for him at Carlton.

Matty has been great for Carlton and its sad to see this happen.
