I have always been a lurker in the dark but I wish to seek support for the current staff at Faraday Street who are fearful for their jobs at present. From the beginning have always found them cheerful, friendlyand knowledgeable about the club. There is a possible move to replace them with non-Carlton people - a poor move if true. I hope other posters can also provide support.

Seems it may be a "corporate" decision. When we left the shop this afternoon the ladies had no idea whether they would have jobs next week.

acudoc im not sure if that shop will remain open long.
Its a temperary set up donated by the board member John Valmobeda who owns it..
I dont think it was meant to ever be a long term situation...

Yeah, but the girls are Carlton girls...they provide food for the boys after their training sessions...surely the club will find another way to help them out?

Not surprising they fear for their jobs, I walk down past it every day from uni and I have never seen a single soul walk into the store to purchase anything

I've bought something from there!
