Yesterday played like it was his last game and was truely superb in defence. Played full back most of the day and kept his opponent quiet. His marking was brilliant and he was never scared to take a run out of defence, and on so many occasions goals resulted from turnovers and kicks from Jordy out of D50. He may have just saved his career....is he good enough to play Defence in the AFL?

He did have an excellent game....looked very solid , read the play very well and can't remember him getting beaten in any contest.

Tassie didn't have any real talls in attack so will be interesting to see how he goes against some tall strong marking forwards in the next two games...but if he can reproduce that form he would have to be a good chance of being retained

He's one of the "good VFL, below average AFL" players on our list.

Collingwood were very impressed by the gun CHF in Bannister.

Tarrant for Bannister... :?: Maybe they can throw in Travis Cloke? Like they say three is a crowd...

Apparently his father said on radio that Jordan was pissed off he wasn't being played at CHF and would be looking to join Collingwood at the end of 2005.

Turns out the caller was a fake.

End of season specialist...blitzed Round 22 2004 V Collingwood also.
Poor bugger will forever be tarnished by the fact that 3AW (774?) were unprofessional enough to allow some idiot on the airwaves AND then to make commentary on what the idiot said

Bannister is the type of player who plays well when he plays for career not when the team needs him to stand up!

I dont think Carlton should have patience for people who play for themselves. Sheedy saw it.

We should create a trade package of Bannister, Clarke, Bowyer, Prenda, Johnson, Wiggins, Sporn.

Give them to Collingwood and we could take a lesser liability in a 3rd rd draft pick. What do we have to lose! and imagine the fun it would be in naming the package! :-D
