Look its a rumour... but the rumour has been doing the rounds and comes from the lips of family members of a VERY senior Carlton player...

Just goes to show how trippy our senior players are.....

I reckon its highly doubtful... the same senior player last year told people that Brent Harvey was a certainty to come to Carlton.

MCB... Larry A is a wanker!!!!..... of the highest order... HUGE!!!!!!...

The thing with Larry is he could have told whatever problems he has with me to my face but instead chose to be anonymous.
Most people i get stuck into know me.. can learn where i am.. who i am....and i dont hide..never have...

Larry is a coward... !!!

Fancy using kids accounts instead of being himself...

... now thats a wanker!!!!

Anyway ill tell it to him to his face when i see him next...

Glad to see most people prefer Fev to Tarrant..

I couldn't be more disappointed in the club if we traded Fev, particularly if the rationale is that we keep Lance.
I feel that Lance has delivered little since Pagan arrived - but that debate has been done to death so i'll leave that here, but Fevola ...
In a poor side Fev has delivered 170 goals, and his biggest crime ... passion for the jumper and loyalty ... he shows his disappointment when he (and the team) aren't playing well.
I don't want to support a team of robots, i want 'my' team to have personality.
Don't get me wrong, I have loved watching Kouta command a game and win it off his own boot - but with his quiet/reserved manner Kouta doesn't (and hasn't) stirred the emotion and love of the jumper in me as Fevola has ... as Silvani has when he pulls out his mouthguard and shows that he is 'destroyed' because the umpire payed that kick against him ... against his beloved navy blue jumper.
Trade Fevola ... i fear you'd be trading the heart of many a navy blue supporter
... and for an ex-Collingwood? isn't that like trading your girlfriend for your mother in law?

So will this start a Tarrant v Salopek thread in the Talking Recruitment section?

Couldn't be sweeter if Tarrant walked, Fev stays or is traded for early picks and a player and Salopek is traded for pick 20. 8)

not wanting to shoot the messenger I just reckon its a very dumb decision to trade fev given his performances over the last 3 years and at least in the last 2 has been superior to Tarrant on every objective bench mark
Also the mentality of trading someone like that to get someone who is similar from another club is the type of thinking that landed us in the predicament we are in in the first place.I thought our mindset had changed

Rethink that statement... apart from that I agree with what you say about Fev.

Hey benny,
I'm not saying that Kouta doesn't play for the jumper and that his efforts on the field haven't been breathtaking ... but for me kouta is the modern prototype footballer. A supreme athlete. He has done things on the field that you need to be an impressive athlete to be able to do ... but he appears to do the amazing and take it all in his stride.
Fevola does this for me too, but with personality and charisma. He openly bleeds for the jumper. He has that intangible quality that is becoming more rare in football these days.
I would guess that whilst Kouta looks at his locker and contemplates what it means to see his name on there, Fev sees his own name on the 25 locker and gives the bootstudder a high five...
I would think it is no wonder that memberships are sold because of him. In fact i would guess that although Fevola has achieved far less on the field that Kouta, Fevola would be responsible for the sale of as many, if not more meberships that Kouta.

I would have to say that trading with Collingwood is a stupid suggestion.
Carlton should never - unless there is a clear advantage- trade players with Collingwood.

Getting Tarrant - who is a hack - is not a clear advantage. How many shots at goal does he miss?

This would rate as one of the stupidiest possible trades... Fevola for Tarrant. Don't make me laugh. Fevola may have attitude problems, but we should get a proper player for him - not Tarrant. Two midfielders from Geelong - yes. But no one from Collingwood is worthy.

Synbad, did you hear this rumour by your own ears while talking to this family member ? What do you hear from the people that count in the club ?

I personally have read this thread and as much as i don't see it happening i really doubt the source. No disrespect to all those posting but unless it happens and unless this came from Pagan himself i think its just "Another Rumour ". Synbad you been talking to Pagan ??

I also read some interesting stuff here that once again mentions Larry.
If larry is a real person and does have something to say how about Larry signing up and using his own log in. Come on Larry welcome aboard.

No offence Larry i don't know you but if you want to be taken seriously by those on this forum who do post under there own user names, maybe you too need to step out of the shadows.

We would welcome you with open arms and enjoy all your posts, positive negative, insightful or argumentative. But the beauty is that we would respect you because you would be speaking for yourself, signed Larry.

Politics even in forums we just can't escape politics.

Oh Well...

"Trade Fev...."

Best NEWS ever! Get it out...HAlf surprised Collo hasn't mentioned it.

Xipna, Xipna

We have all of the cards boys....we just need to get people to the table for a little game of trade poker.

How the hell else are we going to get people to come and play or show their hand....
"Trade Fev" and "Trade pick 4" (rumour due out soon!)

At the end of trade we'll still have both at Carlton (Fev and pick 4) plus a fistful of currency as well as a few bonuses waiting in the PSD...

please don't tell anyone though

My thoughts entirely.

Trade period is just like Grand Final Day.

The anticipation is huge. But the event is always shite.

I will say it again, the person is not Larry. The person does NOT have any position with the club, or any unnoficial position like Larry does. They are simply well connected. It is NOT Larry. It is NOT Larry.
