Look the club needed that.
We needed to snag Murphy and there was never any doubt.
The club needed it.. the coach needed it.. the supporters needed it.
WWhat we didnt need is another kick in the guts where the best young kid wasnt coming to us at number 1 and was going to go to the Lions.. and on a wooden spoon year we get the second best kid in the land.

Its seriously good news...

Murph chose well...

Just another building block to going forward into the future with another young gun.

Mike Sheahan on Fox Footy League Teams tonight said that he heard that Murphy had passed up the Brisbane offer which was a four year contract. Sheahan then said that there is no certainty that he would go early and wouldn't it be funny if he was picked up by brisbane anyway.

Strange cause he seemed so on the money with his info, yet has no idea how highly the clubs rank Murphy.

Good choice, MM.

well now that thats in the bag I wonder who pick 4 will be???

The beauty is that pick 4 will be a better choice with Marc at pick one, less likely to be a dud... 8)

If we hadnt have lost our last game we would have had pick # 5 and wed be better off... the real gems are always found at 5.(and on)

Great news - after watching him play 2 out of 3 games in the U18 championships at OO, I'm certain he's the prototype Ben Cousins! And Mike Sheehan is a f*cking dill who should donate part of his salary to needy children - don't comment on the draft Mike if you're an ignorant fool!

The look on his face after the "Last Suburban Battle" at Optus after we won by 114pts (?) was pretty down.
