So its the time of year again that i try to get any of ye interested in irish sports to watch the All Ireland Hurling Final which is probably the best day in the Irish Sporting calendar. This years final sees my beloved Cork ( Rebels ) facing off against Sinéad's Galway ( Tribesmen ). Cork are goin to try to retain the title for the fist time since our three in a row between 1976 to 1978 whereas Galway are going for a first senior crown since 1988. Cork will start as favourites as this is our third final in a row whilst galway caused a bit of a shock by beating kilkenny in the semi-final scoring 5-18 ( 33 pts ) in the process. This year Cork are captained by Sean Óg Ó hAilpín due to the fact that Na Piarsaigh won the Cork County Senior Hurling Title last year. So if any of this interests you please watch the match on sunday. Throw in is at 3.30 p/m GMT. If anyone is interested in learning more about the match i would encourage you to check out www.rebelgaa.com for lots of discussion on the match from the rebel point of view.

Cheers Kevin. Did we establish last year if we could access TV coverage?

CB,

Setanta TV (of all names) is a satellite service that some of the Irish Pubs/Clubs subscribe to....

Look it up in each town (although maybe the Irish are banned in the ACT what with Little Johnnies new terrorism laws)

Guys,it promises to be a great match (I hope!!) so if you could watch it, I would! :-D

Good luck Caoimhín! :-D Don't forget that Galway (my beloved 8) ) are also playing in the Minor Hurling All-Ireland Final against Limerick, so it could be a very, very good day for us :-D Or it could be quite depressing!! Either way, here's hoping for two great, clean matches.
Will it be Seán Óg or our Liam Donoghue lifting Liam this Sunday?
Come on the Tribesmen!!
