Campo given the highest votes. I distinctly remember watching him give away a minimum of 3 goals directly due to his own lack of acoountability.

I guess it just means that not everything gets noticed by the match committee

And who are you to judge bias? You have no idea what my personal opinion of Campo is.

Amazing that five of the top six have been copping it in the neck all year.

We are becoming more like Richmond every day.

One of the reasons I didn't go last night, is that I couldn't have stomached the booing that would have accompanied a Lance or Campo win.

Maybe it was his task to bring Marc Murphy closer to the club that day? ;)

BM, judging by the way the crowd reacted last night when Lance polled well in games, he would have been a very popular winner.

yes, lots of support for Lance, many Carlton people like him.

And just for the record, I have no personal dislike or bias against any of our players. I have criticised Campo for one performance only (this for you Sydney Blue  ).

Well I do know that you both like downhill skiing.

:-D

Actually, I don't really think he is a DH skier. More that he is missing the support he once had, which probably made him a better player. Besides, DH skiing at the higher level is damned hard work!

It is an indictment on the CFC that our B&F winner is 33 yrs old and cannot run or jump all that well. In fact the past 4 years winners reflects badly:

2005 Kouta
2004 Teague ?????
2003 McKay (another 33 year old)
2002 McKernan (enough said!)

or it could be spun, that while we going going through a difficult period it is great to see that some of our older players are making significant contributions to the club

I think it indicates what we all know ... that we lacked depth and quality mid tier players, players who could go forward when the best retired.

BM suppose it's the glass half full half empty scenario. For me it shows our young un's are not developing at a level and speed which we are crying out for.

Congrats to Kouta all the same.

An interesting omission from the top 10 this year was Bret Thornton. He went backwards this year in my opinion.

Wasn't he like f**k**g injured for most of the year when he injured himself during the Wizard Cup. He came back far too soon from his injury also when he wasn't ready but we needed him.He didn't go backwards, different story if he didn't get injured and played most of the 22 games.

Getting a bit sensitive are we Rambo? Face facts!! Thornton played in 16 of the 22 games, enough there to get some votes. He was nowhere near as consistent as last year.

Yes we had many players that went backwards this year: Teague, Thornton, Houla, Fev, Lappin, Bannister and others that were a little less obvious... That is why we finished last!!

However, we do have picks 1 & 4 which will sweeten the off-season.

You can't put Thornton in that list, what is the guy expected to do with a midfield and team around him that sucked to be honest.

Take Teague for example who was worked out by oppoistion teams and was not allowed to assitst Thornton as the third man up?

I just did. Thornton went backwards. Why should Teague need to assist Thornton? Why can't Thornton beat players himself? I know he can and does. He was just not as good at it this year.
