Is that all. I'm pleased to see you have remained realistic with your expectations Mark.

Watch out for arsonists BM.
Thats the biggest hedge I've seen associated with a bet.

Jeez BM, isn't that the sort of sarcastic agenda-pushing comment that Synbad gets hung for on a daily basis?

Not happy with Murphy and pick 4?

*edited for copyright reasons, besides, read the article via "our" website and not only does Murphy look better, it helps the club too!*

Ooh! Poor Brisbane Bears (sorry I mean Lions). I feel sorry for them. They only won three premierships from 2001-2003.

The ominous ‘Go Home-Stay Home’ factor that constantly hovers over the northern clubs struck again last night when exciting young Victorian Marc Murphy opted against joining the AAPT Brisbane Lions under the father-son rule.

....

Ever since Nathan Buckley defected to Collingwood at the end of 1993, Brisbane-based but interstate-raised players have been regularly targeted by rival clubs.

Yep because Nathan Buckley, a South Australian, was really suffering from the go home factor when he went from Queensland to Victoria :garthp:

What a bunch of whinging tools.

Synbad gets into trouble because of his persistant personal denigration of other posters, not because of his opinions, some of which I agree with.

Quite happy with our picks, just hate the fact that we need them

Fair cop.

The AFL recognised this with the introduction of a Locality Allowance in 2000 aimed at giving the Lions the opportunity to spend a fraction more in retaining non-Queenslanders...

Fraction!?
