They could have used him as trade bait.

My only memory of Clarke playing was when he kicked the ball to Riccardi right before the siren in 02'.

Someone is still claiming there finger stings and trust Carlton to be on the receiving end of his only good pass.
But at least he backed back with the flight against North last year, which is a trait some talented Blues haven't yet learnt.

They're waiting for the trade period for him to be traded to Collingwood! :garthp:

Don't think they'll be announcing any more till after trade week.

as much as people seem to despise david clarke, atleast he played with heart and had a good work ethic and attitude.

i wish i had the oppotunity to play at the elite level, and it's good to see guys bust a gut to make the most of what they have been given.

we got clarke in, and lost a better player in beaumont, but he was part of the cancer at the club, that campo and lance seem to still carry with them.

i'm be just as happy at another clarke type trade if thats whats needed to eradicate the cancer on our current list.

ive only got the goss on here to base this on, but if infact campo and lance, and guys like karl and davies are a bad thing, then i'll be happy for them to go relitavley cheeply.
i want guys with heart and commitment on our list, not money hungary spoil sports. , or guys who dont give two hoots

Hear Hear Gez!

I'd like to thank both Glen and David for their commitment to our club while they were with us. Top blokes, both of them. Tried to make the best of their limited talents, and always gave 100%.

Good luck for the future boys.

Hear hear x2!

One thing I admire about both of these blokes is that they never once complained about being in the twos for pretty much the whole year. Deep down inside they may not have liked it, but it is a credit to themselves that they got on with it and gave it their all week in week out.

Congrats to both David and Glen and I wish them all the best in the future.

Huge thanks to both of these blokes.Glenn had a fair degree of talent in my book and gave 100pc 100pc of the time.Great fella matched by a great attitude.Reckon if he had arrived at the club a couple of year's earlier he could have nailed that back pocket spot permanent.
Clarkey for mine was fantastic.Just didnt have it full stop. But how many times i saw him bust his guts in the magoos in some wet miserable out in the middle of nowhere dump without the remotest chance of cracking it for a gig in the ones.Spirit like that is priceless in my book.I for one am proud that quality blokes like Glenn and David donned the old dark navy blue. All the best fellas and a huge thanks.

Even knowing of Clarkie's delisting long, long time ago, it still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Yeah, there have been detractors and knockers, and I've heard from a lot of them, but you couldn't find a nicer person who bleeds for the jumper. He gives you 100% every time.

I could write 3 pages of crap ther bloke has been put through and to his credit, he has always kept his head down and butt up.

I am happy to report that he has many offers from VFL clubs and looks like there are a couple of AFL teams interested, which I can not mention.

As his sponsor and his friend, I wish him every bit of luck the guy richly deserves. My opportunity to know him came about by my sponsorship, and I could not have been happier. I can honestly say that it's been an honour and pleasure to sponsor such a wonderful person, and am happy that our friendship will continue into the future. Best of luck Clarkie, but I know you don't need it as everything is going to be great for you. 8)

To Glen, thank you for your services to the great navy blue.
