Give me a pair of footy boots and hand me a jumper and I would die for the team = Doesn't mean I still wouldn't be crap. Thats are trouble we have to many players that are just not good enough and it isn't the ones everyone wants to trade. Why are they tradeable its because they have value. No other club would trade for any one else because they are crap. Get rid of campo lappin kouta and whitnal after you have gotten rid of the others

don't put kouta and lance in the same category is mckernan please.

more so kouta than lance has been a champion player for the club and pre knee injury was unstoppable when he signed the contract.
premiership player to boot as well as one of the only guys to play with heart this year

mckernan is a squib who played 2 years for us, not a comparison at all

EJ Whitten is dead.....

EJ Whitten would have slapped Campo and Co around though... (if he was alive)

That might of helped Campo and would have been great to see but still doesn't help lost causes like Sporn.

Yep

I'm with Synners

They can all go.

We need to be ruthless..... ESPECIALLY WITH CAMPO!!!!

The only one of the lot I have any interest in keeping, including Fevola, is Lappin.... but, if he has to go to make a point.. so be it!

"choices"

The last post re Pagan is spot on.
If Pagan is the coach we need a team that Pagan wants - and from where I sit the newer younger players are coming along nicely. It is the older players that have not responded.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing with the same players and expecting a different result. Won't happen.

Lets ignore the names of the players for the moment. If you were to build an ideal team, you need a balance of lots of things, the obvious strong backmen (missing) midfield to rotate (missing) and strong forward line (again missing). The top six we keep talking about are the wrong balance of players - we MUST draft or trade to get the balance right.

The top 6 players are good players and do contribute (regardless of what others will say) but they are the WRONG mix.

Something has to change. I really like Lance but he is the right player to trade now. He will add class to another team - and give back to Carlton a player we need to get the balance right (backman/midfielder) or at worst a quality draft pick.

Lappin is too old and not a KPP so don't expect too much. Campo and Kouta we all know are untradeable. Fev is the interesting one but still more a KPP than Lance so I would stick with Fev one more year - hey we can't get worse than this year so I would take this calculated risk.

The board are on the right track. They are spot on re: salaries, and I have total confidence regarding the draft and trade period.

There will be changes - have faith.

I have been trying to push this message myself! I have full faith in our coach, and the younger group of improving however the mix is wrong!

Not sure if this has been posted already.

Carlton legend John Nicholls caught up with Brendan Fevola at Optus Oval this afternoon to talk about football and the Carlton Football Club. John contacted the Club earlier this week following the publication of an article regarding last Thursday's Best & Fairest Dinner. John was not happy with the content of the article and he offered to have a chat with Brendan and although on holidays Brendan was very quick to take up the opportunity to spend some time with the great John Nicholls. As for what was said, John admitted that was a matter for he and Brendan but he did add, "Brendan has been here for seven years and has played 100 games for Carlton, he has the rest of his career in front of him and it is time for him to take the next step." Brendan too was reluctant to discuss the matter, however he did say, "John Nicholls is an icon of the Carlton Football Club and it was great for him to give up his time to talk with me about football, Carlton and indeed my game."

Keep Lance, Trade Fev and Lance has shown he was prepared to work this year, said Walls on 3AW two seconds ago. Has he even seen any Carlton games or listened to any this year? :?

Sounds like an epitaph and is Fev still breathing?

Eddie just announced Fev will talk about his future at Carlton on the Footy Show tonight. Considering how thoughtless Fev is on the Footy Show sometimes I'm sure he will let something slip.
