No tough decisions on players

General malaise about leadership

Houlihan is "sensitive"

Jobs for boys

Pathetic CARLTON!

I'm half inclined to run for president myself and piss off the current board and their "yes sir" attitude.

DO SOMETHING!!!!!!

The club has made an about face because its easier to do a North Melb than a StKilda....

North will never win a premiership with its survival mode mentality!!!

But they at least have the spirit!!!!

im getting ropable!!!!

We are going to stay in safe waters just to not go down the road of possibly losing 14 games again....!!!!!!!!

This is a club being sold down the river....

Hawthorn hid Hay too.. but theyre smart enough to put him up for trade.. !!!!!

We are going that well that sticks in on holidays.
The most crucial time of the year and one of our leading decision makers is on holidays.
Could he not wait until November until he took holidays?? Then again we are talking about Carlton here where things mysteriously just happen.
Do you reckon anyone from Collingwood are on holidays???

I felt sick last night when I logged on to see that Lance is close to signing.

After some sleep and having a good think about it I feel ummm whats the word... ummmm

SICK

and now we have put an offer into Campo as well.

Why do we have to suffer the season we had only for nothing to change. I want what Hawthorn did. Changed the captain (wrong bloke but at least pro active). Shiped off a mature player for draft picks and youth played at every opportunity. New assistant coaches brought in and a whole new face lift. Why cant we do that?

I really do hope that some things are done. If Matty Lappin is the only 1 who goes then that is wrong in so many ways. He has been our best player in the last 5 years. I am prepared to let him go over his poor form this year and general sooky behaviour over a new contract but only if Lance is as well.

Well apparantly there's a board meeting on Tuesday night where they'll no doubt come to a decision on the futures of the big three uncontracted & Fev.
Fair dinkum if the board go soft on them there should be a coup organised.

If the club put feelers out on Campo and there are no takers then I can understand keeping him. But after trade week please.
Lets not ruin the salary cap. Lets see what can be organised.

the PSD is not until December. Trade week is Ocober 3. We can sign up anyone we want after trade week if we dont get a deal we want. No player can walk just because we did not sign them up before trade week.

I hope everyone understands that. Trade week is not "PSD walk for free week". So any deals we do now makes it hard to organise trades and to ship a plyer or 2 off.

If a player says sign me now or I am going to walk in the PSD in December then call there bluff.

If the club put out feelers for Campo, and there were no takers, they should bloody well make him sign a deal they're happy with and if he doesn't like it he can retire or go into the pre-season draft.

If we go into next season and its the status quo then I'll be dead set ropable. The fans and the sponsors and the media understand if you're being brave and thinking big. Its when you freeze and do nothing that they desert you. And I'm sick of hearing our perilous financial position being used as an excuse to not rebuild properly. If it's that bad, we should be accessessing the CBF (that's what its there for!), and we definately shouldn't be caving into the salary demands of players.

Mate you are not getting my point. Say we organise ourselves a deal in trade week. Lance for Bartel or Luke Power or something.
We need to pay a ceartain amount to these players and agree to the deal.
Say Power wants 400k. Say Salopek wants 225k and we get him in the PSD.

Imagine if we sign evryone up before trade week. Then Lance says he wont go. So we cant trade him. Problem number 1.

Problem number 2. We dont get any trades done. All are signed at our club. Nobody gives us what we want for Fev. Stuck with Campo as we signed him.
Salopek wants 225k and guess what. We dont have room for him. So he goes to the Pies.

If after trade weel we dont organise any deals but at least our 3 players are not signed then we have the choice to delist Campo and give his salary to Salopek and get him in the PSD.

I know I am going around in circles here but the point is signing players now just before trade week has no benefit to the club. Like I said they cant walk on us. We have 2 months after trade week to delist, re-sign whoever we want before there is the PSD.
But once they are signed up thats it for next year. We ruin the salary cap and someone is available then we cant take them.

I reckon we raid the club on Tuesday night, and voice our opinions..... They need to listen to their supporters. They are a shamble of a club at the moment.

The garbage on this site and in the media (as in, the things that are discussed as likely.. and they are garbage for being shithouse club decisions)

Mate, I will form a coup. We need to start one of those unofficial match committee thingies and go picket the club.

NEWSFLASH CARLTON BOARD

- CAMPOREALE IS SHIT

- LANCE WHITNALL IS SHIT

- BRENDAN FEVOLA IS A MORON AND WOULD GET AN AWESOME TRADE

- MATTHEW LAPPIN HAS BEEN GREAT SERVICE AND VERY LOYAL, TRY AND BE A BIT MORE ACCOMODATING (without giving in to "insane" requests)

- KOUTA IS A MEDIOCRE CAPTAIN

STOP WASTING TIME WORRYING ABOUT 3 DEADHEADS WHO DON'T DESERVE TO GO NEAR A NAVY BLUE JUMPER, AND START FOCUSSING ON THE PLAYERS ON THE LIST THAT DO, AND GETTING BLOKES INTO THE CLUB WHO WANT TO PLAY FOR US

ITS SIMPLE!!!!!

Tell Camporeale to get lost

Offer Whitnall $250k p/a over 2 and refuse to increase it.... then swap him for a good first round pick + maybe a player who has a brain

Make Stevens captain

Offer Lappin 2 years + 1 year extension if he finishes in the top 10 in the B&F for the next 2 years... on good money.

Tell Sticks to tow the party line or reconsider his spot on the board

Create a bit of competition for Fevola... try and get some good offers for him and decide if he's REALLY worth keeping. Start setting boundaries for him so he can't be such a dickwad

Swap Houlihan for bloody anything while we still can

Make sure when Lionheart Murphy walks in the door he's walking into a productive environment where Waite and Thornton set the agenda (ie, one that tries) and not fat idiots like Whitnall

If one more of you blokes mention the ST.KILDA model again i will seek you out one by one and friggin well strangle you.For effs sake! The day the CFC uses the Saints as there blueprint for future success is the day i start following tiddlywinks.Fairdinkum guys, get a grip on reality will you.The saints are in as big a shit as they have been for 100years and you want to copy them.Getting rid of guns to get guns. What a lot of shit.If you have a good player you hang onto him.Good players, whatever there shortcoming's,are hard to find.Make the most of what you have and build around them.I want Red,Fev,Campo and Skinny. They are not our problem. Its that very little is coming from below.

The StKilda model Pffffff ! Yeah, right.Who was the brain dead embecile who decided to eff of Big Bazza.Yeah,he would have felt real comfortable last night. The PRECENCE of Barry Hall was what had the Saints scared shitless all night. And dont you underestimate the intimidation factor. They were having little sly looks all night. And dont say i didnt tell you,but Maguire is overated and by no one more than himself.Any Carlton footballer with any skerrick of pride should RELISH lining up on Maguire.

And Jason Ball would have been near wetting himself with glee in the knowledge there was no Spider in the Saints lineup these days.Yes the Saints got that right too didnt they.Effing off the best ruckman in the comp coz he had one tatoo too many and was a little to hard to handle.Yep,the Sainters only wanted choir boys and head prefect types.Get rid of that scumbag Everatt, hes an embarresment.Only feel sorry for one bloke. The G train.God it must shit him to tears playing with those soft pretenders.

Anyway guys, say what you must BUT NOT THE AINTS MODEL ok.Anything but that.True big Sinner,im ready to go crazy.Do me a favour big fella, dont mention em for at least a week.Im ready to snap Syns so SHUDDUP !

Brilliant! 8)

The day we act like bootlickers is the day we are treated as bootlickers and the Saints are treated like bootlickers.
