Bottom line it's all red for Carlton - The Australian
Player wages to be cut even further next year and we've signed Fev with Lance on the way to signing? :?
What is the staff moral like at Carlton with admin. jobs going and more football department cuts on the way?

i would love to spit in Greg Denhams face.

this man writes the worst articles i have ever read

he is a F***ING loser. Can some one tell him clubs must pay 95% of there salary cap so getting rid of the players he has mentioned just means we would have to pay other players more money.

Listen carefuly children ...

When we arte at close to 100% but paying Kouta 1 million...with 500k outside of the salary cap... and the salary cap is 6.2 were paying 6.7 million... MORE THAN BRISSY AND SYDNEY....

We have to move players on to get to is it 92.5% min????

Because if we kept them we would be on around 96% 97 % with what they want....

Why is that Greg Denhams fault that we have players costing us alot of money... MORE THAN ANY OTHER CLUB... but were last??? :?

Listen when were paying 100% and koutas 500k outside of the salary cap.. were in fact paying 6.7 million which is more than Brusbane...but were last.... and shit.....

Bloodsuckers have cost us and i hope the club does what it intended on doing with these guys instead of being paralysed with fear to make the changes on some of the worst leaders in sporting history.
They have taken us NOWHERE... but we still fork out the most money.

Ill be ropable if we allow them to stay because we dont want to upset the applecart.. because were too shit scared!!!!

but if we get down to 92.5% with our salary cap and go to the AFL for assistant we might aswell shut up shop.

It will be like gatting married once the ring is on the finger you have just handed over everything that is you to her.

There is no way the Carlton Football club would get any assistance from from the AFL

Carlton chief executive Michael Malouf said the club was expecting a significant loss this year because it did not expect such a poor team performance which hampered home attendances and corporate match-day revenue.

Tanking may have its benefits but the club can't afford it.

That has been part of my arguement BW.

Just to correct an above $1 mil figure that has been given. Its actually $800 000, still to high I would agree. But if we are going to qoute player salaries at least let us get them within a reasonable margin.

the problem is not solely the leaders, we have shit on our list...
Morrell
Bowyer
Johnson
Clarke
Prendergast
Deluca
Davies
Sporn
Wiggins
= NOT UP TO IT!!! you're not going to win a premiership with those blokes on a list!!!!!!

Norman
Bannister
etc....
we need some A grade talent. Simple.
The problem is not solely with the leaders.

Synbad buddy if we dont start winning games we can shut up shop.

WINNING GAMES=
big Crowds - more dollars
more membership - more dollars
better sponsorship - more dollars
prime time games - more dollars

if we dont have the players to pay we wont win games, wont attract more members, more sponsors, better TV coverage and corporate support.

This article may actually help us sign our senior players to reduced contracts.

I actually think the whole financial structure of the AFL is stuffed. Unfortunately, it has always been this way. The salary cap is really too high. It should be a fixed percentage of the clubs' average revenue for the previous year (or something like that).

For so many years clubs have made a loss and it is often the fans that are asked to fork out more money. Why is this the case when there is more money in the game than ever before and more money from the TV rights?

You missed one important person out Synbad we have paid the coach 2.4 million for the last three years . He is under performing and sucking the place dry. You would think he would take a pay cut and show some leadership. Highest paid coach in the competion and we are last .

The club has to pay the players up to 92.5% - It could save money on the coach

How to save the Carlton Football club
- Buy a membership
- Buy your drinks at Dan Murphy
- Use an Optus phone line
- Teach Kouta how to kick long! so he can go to the NFL
- Draft Broadie Holland and organise a fight with Campo in a cage all proceeds going to CFC.
- Save money on the coach! Pagan should be sacked and replaced by me ill only charge 80k a year.
- I will teach the players to tank, and only win 4 games througout the year being Essendon*, Collingwood, Richmond, St Kilda.
- Load up on draft picks.
- Members also need to pay a tanking fee if absent from the game

P.S im kidding! i dont want hate mail sent to me! hehehe
