That's right people it's on again! The end of the AFL season is done and dusted which means it's time for us forumites to bring out the boots and go to war against rival forums such as HHQ and SS.

For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, every year there are a few football matches played between football forums (TC/TBV/CSC, HHQ, SS and BB). They usually start in October and go right through to mid January. Basically anyone can play but do request that if you are wanting to play that you actually support the team you are going to play for. Same rule applies if you wish to bring a friend along.

Anyway, I'd love to get another match under way in the next month and I thought who better to face first up than our arch rivals, Saintsational.
HHQ and BB are squaring off on the 9th of October, so I suggest we play at the end of next month say around the 22nd/23rd? We can nut those details out later.

This thread is for those wishing to declare their interest in donning the navy blue and playing. I'll add your name to the list as soon as you declare that you want to play. Looking forward to adding some new blood to the team this year. Would also like to get some bigger, mature bodies in the team this year as we were easily shown up for size by our HHQ counterparts earlier in the year.

EDIT - first timers please include height and weight for position purposes

I don't want everyone to be huge.
We just want a few bigger bodies around the ground to match it with these other sides we have to play against (namely HHQ)

Other than that, everyone is most welcome to play.

I just hope you boys hand it to the SS guys in a big way, both on the scoreboard, and in the sledge stakes.

i am seriously considering playing.

Gurnsey#: 25
Height: 170cm
Weight: 50kgs
DOB: 29/12/89 (nearly 16)

i don't play for a team, although many people tell me i should join up because i know how to kick and can read the play. i'd love a spot in the forward pocket but would have a stint in the midfield if thats what you wanted PJ...
im not a definate starter yet, but if i can convince my mate to play then i/we will more than likely be there....

At 170cm and 50kg, maybe we have the makings of a handy FP goalsneak....

The game might be on the 22nd, Gez.
But the again it might be on the 23rd.
I'm in constant contact with Barks over at SS and we are trying to work out a date for the game.

Here's hoping we play on the 22nd as it would be great if you could play.

i just jumped on too qantas and virgin, and it's would be looking pretty doubtful either way really. i could stay the night at get a 7.45 flight home of sunday, i guess.
i dont get into melb air port till 12, so i would be hard pressed to get a train to glenferrie till around two i'd guess, and i'd have a weeks worth of luggage with me.

so dont consider me, but if it does end up being the 2nd, then i'm about a 5% of playing
the other issue with this is telling my misses that yet again i'll be ditching her for footy and beer but this time in the middle of october

Is it safe for a 15 yr old kid to play against these adults in such a competitive game?
