Do you think the club has not already received a heap of letters pleading to keep Lance? Why do you think they changed their mind?

Yep - I reckon you're right, mate. People who contribute fanatically to footy forums are so wound up in the minutae of the club that they forget that many, many supporters think people like Lance rock. To them, Lance is Carlton.

These people don't obsess over stats like people on internet forums. They don't race home from the footy to spend a couple of hours dissecting the latest loss on the internet.

They reckon Lance rocks and I reckon you might just be on the money

if your implying the club has changed its view because oif these letters then we are even more stuffed!

a letter wil do nothing

this club either has balls or it hasn't.

Wouldn't be the first club to Danny. Thats how this weeks Grand Final coaches have their jobs. Both clubs back flipped from their original decisions because of supporter pressure.

Clubs get letters all the time...
They get them about Lance.. they get them about Skinny..
they get them about Fev.. and about Denis...

I dont think they would be swayed by letters but at the end of the day this board is very worried about dropping membership...

Fev wont go....!!!!

I cant see what someone would offer us to get Fev to shift....

But to sign Campo and Lance a week before draft time is ridiculous when youre going to leave Skinny out in the cold...

What if someone was going to offer us pick 2 and 5??????

This rush is just stupidity!!!!!!!!!

They have bagged Lance all year... theyve bagged the list.. called it a "B- to Z list"
Were wooden spooners...
No injuries.

Weve come out and told everyone were going to be hard in negotiations...
Weve spoken about early picks and how they have cost us...
Collo has even said he wants the rebuild to be sustainable..

Kouta was asked for a pay cut a couple of weeks ago.. which he refused...

There is discontent with the way the players are being coached by some of the senior players ...

And we are "not disatisfied with the leadership at the club blah blah blah blah"???

Now were too scared to see whats there for us for Lance...during trade week.., and we will be looking to see what Fev can bring ( EVEN THOUGH THE BOARD AND THE CLUB JUST SIGNED HIM UP???)

Were a rabble!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RABBLE... RABBLE....Rabble... Rabble... rabble.. rabble... *repeat till fade*

then why don't they do something about it?

look, I'll be willing to put-in with some board member's daughters if it'll mean change :wink:

hook me-up, Josh! 8)

I don't know what to do. I doubt writting letters will do anything, because I doubt they read them.

I don't want to "vote with my feet" and not buy a membership.. I don't want the club to die... but I don't want to endorse FLAGRANTLY SHIT MANAGEMENT.... I'm confused!!!!

SAVE ME CAPTAIN CARLTON!!!!!!!! STEP IN AND ENSURE GOOD DECISIONS ARE MADE!!!!

Incidentally... I'd rather Shannon Grant than Campo.. At least Shannon Grant performs on the park. And, if we have $600,000 collecting dust and no one else who's anygood in the PSD, I'd pick Grant. At least he'll be something for nothing. Sure, the money is a bit wack though

priority picks are goign to be gone..... next year.. we may as well go for it.. Synbad, I understand you're not a clever man so I'll make it simple..

Carlton = in debt
Losses= that debt increase
debt increase=big trouble
wins = less debt.

next year there are 8 guns.. we finish outside the 8, we get one anyway.
we finish inside the 8, debt becomes less serious.
That's as simple as I can make it.
Simple explanation for a simple mind. :P

That's the biggest hog wash I've read on this site for some time!!!

We have finished rock bottom twice in the space of a couple of years with the fab three, Koutafidies, Camporeale and Whitnall (hate these blokes so much that I'd rather call them by their full name than their nickname), what makes you think we'll do any better next year with the same supposed leaders.

This current situation has been in the making for a number of years. We should have rid ourselves of these parasites three years ago and started the rebuilding phase. To much sentimentality at this club.

We are finished. Shit kickers

Re: Campo....I would delist him and offer Lappin a bit more over two years or is it the Kernahan factor that keeps Campo at the club?...

I worry too Danny Boy, as e Rudy echoes some familiar sentiments.
Make the changes beloved Blues and let’s go forward.
We’ll all support, It’s Time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess maybe we should wait and see what happens, what the club says publicly and does are two different things. I really can't see Collo being soft with the players, he thinks every one is overpaid. I presume the match committee will make recommendations and they judged Kouta best player for the year and Whitnall 3rd best. It's a matter of what swap we could get for Whit and how we rate the likely draftee. Clubs live and die by those judgements. maybe we are not likely to get the deal we want for Whitnall. Cleaning out everyone is not a great idea either. You need some experience otherwise young draftees just get hammered. And a number 10 or 15 draft choice is no guarantee of a decent player. As i say, the MC and Hughes need to make judgements on relative merits.

I can't understand the talk of getting rid of Fev after just signing him up. And I really hope the club has got beyond getting rid of players and then paying half their salary. DP may have a cunning plan for Fev as he was trying to teach him things rather than have him play to his strengths this year.

And who is going to be captain? MC judged Kouta our best for the year. the only guy who shows much leadership is Barney. Stevo had an okay year but was benched a number of times by the coach for not playing as the coach wanted, and TBird had an ordinary year and seems immature at this stage. he has a Lathamesque ability to blame everyone but himself when his opponent gets the ball, and would rather concede a goal than leave his opponent to cover.

We need to draft really well, and not sacrifice late picks for hacks. Hands up anyone who would rather have taken a punt on Gwilt (who Hughes had pegged for the rookie list) than get Chambers.

Reckon Mickster summed things up really well as usual.

Another gem from Synbad ... You are undoubtably the most destructive poster on this site. You continually put down others and the club. Your behaviour is similar to the typical Richmond supporters and its just as well you have no influence over the decisions within the club ... what is more amazing however ... are the sheep that follow u.

No..BlueRob is entitled to tell Synbad he doesn't like his posting style...of course, he wouldn't want to be another poster with the same IPP address posing as BlueRob...that would be bad form wouldn't it? 8)
