all this sponsor crap.... @#$%&! sponsors. @#$%&! sooky members who love their little favourite players and don't realise said players spit on the club they love.

BOO STINKIN' HOO

what about poor Tyrant who has to endure another season of watching that slack, cheating little girl Camporeale, and that fat idiot Whitnall metaphorically urinating on the jumper I love... well, that will suck for me and many of you others.

They do!! Remember that story a few weeks ago where Telstra Dome staff confiscated that old ladys crochet needles.

Suspect your sewing would be out of order as well.

Despite Synbad inferring that I was calling the board idiots a few weeks ago, I wasn't just very annoyed at the way the team was playing.

I am very happy with the way the board is managing at the moment. The club is in an unbeievably difficult situation at the moment and whatever decisions they make tomorrow will certainly annoy at fair portion of the membership. I will accept any decision that the board makes re players and finances, wheter or not I agree with it as I believe that they will be acting in the best interests of the club as they see it.

The difference between what we as indivivuals believe should be done and what they will do is that they will have all relevant information available to them

Look, I do understand and sympathise with Synbads "plan" - however - I also think that BM has a good point with "they habe all relevant information available..."

Firstly - the first duty of the Board is to ensure the survival of the Club in the short term. We are in deep financial poo. We need sponsor money, Friday night games, gate takings, corporates, memberships etc. Sinners plan is bold - but what if it means the clubs goes belly up financially? We do not know the full story. I think the Board is trying to blance the long term rebuilding with short term needs of survival. Hawthorn has a large bag of money from the Waverley sale to support their strategy - we have a white elephant (legends stand) and millions of debt.
Also, in regard to players - do we know if we can get acceptable trades for certain players - do we know the details of negotiations? etc.

Let's see what is the result of all of this - but keep in mind that we first of all want to ensure that the Blues don't get merged or shipped off to Queensland or Sydney. This might mean that the rebuilding takes a few more years the we want - but we still have a club.
Could we also "please" be a little nicer to each other?

To add to 2nd efforts list of quotes, here's one from Stephen Covey that sums us up perfectly:

"If you keep doing what you're doing, you'll keep getting what you're getting".

Lovely day, important night in the history of our club.

Tuesday 20th September 2005, the day Barry Hall gets off and the Carlton board succumb to the leadership group.

So are they going to stream this infamous board meeting straight to the TC website?

I reckon it would make better viewing than at least half our performances this season
