Voss interviewed on 'On The Couch'

Our mate Wallsy drilled him with the Lions missing Marc Murphy. Vossy's comments included,

*Marc's a great kid from a great family
*Has the character a football club needs
*Also quality footballer
*Brisbane disappointed on not getting two 'top 10 draft picks'.
*The above reason's why Lions put the hard work into getting Marc.
*Disappointing that the Fitzrot tradition not continued with Marc at the Lions

Could see the loss of Marc really got under Vossy and the Lion's skin.

Voss is all class - once in retirement wouldn't blink an eye before offering him six figures as a Carlton Assistant Coach.

Voss might have something to do with Marc in a couple of years anyway...

Did you also hear him mention his desire to get into coaching and how he preferred to do so in Melbourne?

hmmm, interesting

Voss was a Carlton supporter growing up.

I agree with The Game.

The Tree of Man's a far better book.

Am I the only with a conspiracy theory here. Maybe Voss wants to coach Murphy and is happy that Murphy didn't accept the Lions advances. ;)

I'd love for Voss to be our next coach.

Would provide us with the leadership we need.

Voss slapped Sherman back into line when he bagged a teammate because he couldn't bench the same weight."We don't do it that way here" were the words IIRC and that is the attitude we desperately need to get back at Carlton.

I doubt Brisbane will ever let him go.

Voss is exactly who and what we need to tutor our youngsters.
When is he looking at retiring, end of next year (2006)?
Tell him we found a house in sunny Carlton for him and all he has to do is re-allocate at the end of 2006.

I can hear him now:

"Now Murph, when the doc starts telling ya that if you have another pain killing injection you won't be able to walk when your 40, you just tell him he's soft and stick the needle in yourself."
