I know its my first post but i will add that i have been a member of talking carlton for a couple of months now, mods can back that up just been a observer.

I have been told by someone very close to Kouta infact holidaying with Kouta in Perth. Here goes the club had made Lance a offer for 2 years mid season Lance rejected this offer. The Eagles are very keen on obtaining Lance and are willing to trade with us.

After the contract offer was declined The club offered Lance a heavily reduced contract which he also knocked back. After the offer was rejected the club informed Lance's manager that they were keen to move Lance on and that he will be traded interstate unless he signs this new reduced contract.

This is were it gets interesting. We have the number 1 pre-season pick the bulldogs, eagles, geelong and melbourne have thrown some money at Lance, but are at the lower end of the pre season draft order the Hawks, Collingwood and Essendon* dont want him and have not approached his management nor the club. His manager is saying that offers from hawthorn and Essendon* have come in. Lance would have to put a hefty price tag on his head to avoid us re-selecting him in the PSD with the hawks, pies and bombers definately not willing to pay him what he wants.

Richmond and Brisebane are next in line in the PSD order i have been told that we are heavily into luke power and that lance could be heading to either Brisebane or the Eagles the other option leaving him to sign with us on a reduced contract as he does not want to move interstate.

A win/win situatio for the club if you ask me we keep Lance for pea nuts or we get luke power?

I don't know how Kouta can be holidaying in Perth when he was at St.Vincent's Private just a week ago for the birth of his second child. How do I know this? I work next door at the Public and saw him myself in Victoria Pde.
I doubt he would take his wife and new born to Perth in such a short time.

I'm pretty sure that I heard that Kouta and perhaps Lance and Stevo had been holidaying in Perth recently.

Interesting in todays Sun Luke Power has yet to re-sign with the lions.

I dont think Lance will go he and Fev are far to valuable as are key fowards, but i do understand that Dennis wants to build a side from scratch you still need senior players

Kouta often holidays in Perth at the end of season as he has quite a few mates over here.

Bumped into them last year and they were all very nice guys but DRUNK AS !! (Kouta also) and this was 11 am in the morning anyways..........

the amount of shit that came out of their mouths about trades etc and drafting particularly involving the eagles (as a lot of his mates are from perth and would like to talk about the eagles i guess )

they even told us where they were going to be that night so we rocked up and lo and behold they were there but alas the shit talking continued ( now we all talk shit when we're drunk though right , so no hard feelings )

BUT moral of the story don't always believe what you hear even if it does seem to be from a good source i.e close to such and such. especially if it was one of koutas mates( :P )

The person i know lives in melbourne, is in constant contact with Kouta and had nothing to do with being pissed in Perth. The two are very good friends i will hope to find out more over the weekend and fill you guys in.

But for know i guess we all have to put up with the speculation and innuendo like this until tarde week is ended.

straight swap for Luke Power

where do i sign the contract.

Brisbane Lions fear getting nothing for him and are interested in Lance.

We can get L.Power in the PSD anyways so they will most likely do a straight swap for Lance.

I would be pretty happy with that.

That way some of our younger on-ballers can do the yards in the lesser positions i.e. forward or back pocket while they learn the pace of the game etc..

i would be pretty happy with this move

Brisbane would be silly to let Power go for Lance...I just dont see Brisbane not caving into to Power's demands whateva they are. He is one of their best and you dont give your quality players away unless he is determined to come home to Victoria which doesnt seem to be the issue.
And anyway...Power would attract more than just Lance on the trade market...club like Collingwood would sell their soul for Power and pay him plenty ie what they offered Brown..why would Brisbane want to do business with us...Lance would look like a lobster after a few training sessions in that Qld heat...
