Caroline Wilson said on 3AW today that Fev will most likely be staying at Carlton due to signing a contract this year (hefferen rule) he has to agree to a move and he has said he wants to stay a blue and will most likely refuse to move to another club. Caro also said that the club will not offer Campo a 3 year deal and are looking to move him on which she agreed with.

I spoke to a friend of Sam Powers yesterdays (suspect) but he said that if Luke is to leave the Lions he will only play for the Bulldogs or Collingwood and that Collingwood have offered him MEGA $ as they see him as the successor to Nathan Buckley and liken the situation to when the snared Buckley from the Bears 12 years ago.

i said to him that lets Hope history repeats its self the lions win 3 flags and the pies lose 2

My thoughts on Brendan Fevola

There’s been a zillion posts on this guy but what the hell, I feel like venting a little bit on the major frustration that is “the Fevâ€

Wrote this in the recruitment section in a Luke Power thread.. probably not the greatest of ideas sooo here it is again.. the post i'm referring to is about a Kerr/Fev swap:

WHY IS EVERYBODY SAYING THIS... are you kidding me...?

"Eagles just LOST the grand final cos they dont have a good full forward... SO LETS GET RID OF OUR GOOD FULL FORWARD"...

Does anyone else see the ridiculousness of that idea..? Hello..?

Obviously we arent challenging for a Flag.. but why would we want to help the 2nd best team become the best... whilst designing our team on THAT team which came 2nd (i.e. midfielders 'r us but questionable forward line)... WE WANT TO BE THE BEST.

Premiership teams need a big gun forward... We have one.. Get some midfielders, yes, but not at the expense of our big gun forward...

Its the culture that needs a change...
Thats why Karl Norman needs to go. Put it this way.. some things he's said to me when he first came to Carlton indoicate fairly clearly he doesnt give a shit about the club.. nothings seemed to have changed.

For this reason, I would trade Fev. It was reported that Fev didnt even know who Jezza was when he first became a Blue. That is a sign of a guy simply unwilling to embrace the footy club- how then can we expect a 100% effort from him?

Trade Fev while we can for the right deal. My head says no, but my heart says yes. Judging by the boardget together last night, more are agreeing with this sentiment..

We cannot get rid of fev because he is a good full forward.
Good full forwards are hard to get.
Lance isnt a full forward but for some reason other clubs think he is.
Fev is getting married and will mature!..
Fev takes the best defender week in and out and does a decent job each week.
Didnt try in the 2005 season and managed to kick 49 goals, with a shiet midfield.

Trade Lance before hes currency goes down, he will not help us win a premiership

Some of the more unusual logic I've read, he didn't know who Jezza was when he first became a Blue (why should he?) and now does....yet he's not embracing the club?

I'll answer for him...

...that he'd rather have bulging pockets than wear some jumper with a Carlton emblem on it...

Your words have been marked.

As long as you know your future credibility on this site will be judged on them.

Be very interesting to see how it turns out.

That's right. All the street cred he built up with his previous 3 posts will go out the window if he's wrong on this one.

We should trade Fev in a straight swap for that Judd fella. He seems to go alright. A shiny new medal for BOG in a grand final still didn't win the Weagles a flag. Might be they'd be better off with Fev

This is the reason why Fev must go. He just doesn't try hard enough.

When Fev is in the top 11 footballers in the country then I'll compare him to Mark Waugh not before.

I hear he's not bad at picking the wrong 'un too.
