Fev has kicked nearly 180 goals over the past 3 seasons and Lappin was an All-Australian and yet they seem more expendable. Why aren't they a priority over Lance ...

Lance, Campo and Lappin all had good offers put to them 6 to 8 months ago.

They decided not to sign.

Lance is a priority for the club to retain.
The offer is not far off what he wants. They hope that something can be worked out.
They will talk to him after he come back from holiday.
He is the sort of player that Carlton want to retain.

All the Fevola ta;l is media driven and not by Carlton.

The club has the 4th or 5th highest costing football department and they need to be prudent and cut costs.

This guy needs a reality check (and a kick to the head). Trying to justify $400k a year for Lance (same pay packet as Hird and Akermanis at the peak of their powers) by referring to his All Australian year ... it was 5 years ago for f#@ks sake!!!!
