Everyone on the list who wants to play doesn't have to turn up. If we can get at least 10-15 people turn up, that would be enough to run a few drills like lane work kicking/handballing and a few other drills.

If we don't get enough response, then it won't go ahead but I thought it would give us all a chance to meet one another instead of having the 1 hour before the game to do it. We can still do that before the game though.

I am playing btw!!! :D

I'm 5'3 (which is like 162cms). I weigh like 54kgs (I've unfortunately gained a lil weight). I'm 18. I don't care where I play :D

We've got a fair few numbers already, Sami.

Yes.

They are scratching for numbers.
For the moment, we aren't.

The more the merrier, I reckon.

I'm up for a training run, provided we start no later than 2.

OK then. I'll still come to training and prove I'm not a "girl" when it comes to kicking a footy.

Training will probably happen on a Sunday before the match. Most likely a weekend before the match i.e the 23rd.

Won't be anything too hard.

We'll probably just go for a light warm up jog, bit of stretching, a few drills and that'll be it.

It'll probably be at Princes Park 1 as well.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with it, it is the oval next to Optus Oval.

If anyone else has any better suggestions for the veue, mention it.

Don't think they'll let us on there, Rod.
We'd have to pay a pretty big fee.
Better off having a run around on a ground that we can have a kick on for free.

Is Princes Park 1, the oval we used to park on?

how bout the oval thats 5 min from my house....  that way ill be able to make it...and we can all bathe in the history that is the birthplace of the ashes....

Quote:
Rupertswood Mansion

Built in 1874, Rupertswood estate was home to wealthy pastoralist Sir Rupert Clarke and was also the birthplace of international cricket's most coveted trophy, The Ashes. The Sunbury cricketing tradition started in 1882 when Sir William Clarke, President of the Melbourne Cricket Club, invited the visiting English team to stay at his home - Rupertswood. At dinner after a cricket match in the grounds between England and the estate staff, Lady Clarke presented the English Captain with a pottery urn that was purported to contain the ashes of a burnt bail. Australian and England play cricket for The Ashes to this day.
