I could tag Davey and he'd still do SFA.

Noone wants to pull the trigger.

The two main players working on their kicking were Setanta and Tuohy.
The others followed Juddy with salad rolls

I'm devastated that our boys can't read the psychological pulse of the game. Essendon* are shaky, gone, on their knees. They fight but their resolve is fragile. Put them away when you have the chance and they will fold like a pack of cards. Look like you're panicking yourself and you give them a sniff and you instill in them some heart.

It would have been so easy to put them away tonight like every other team has done for the last 4 weeks.

We are the softest Carlton team I can ever remember, nowhere near the least talented, but the softest by far.

Who can remember a softer Carlton team?

He did early but faded.
He loves his left foot and uses it more than he needs to.
It wasn't his fault.
Next week he'll play his last game IMO.
He's been a great player for us and will be nigh on impossible to replace in the short term.

Maybe Bootsma can become a running half back but he hasn't got a left side.
Maybe Touhy. he seems to have the tank but I want him playing in the midfield.
Maybe Armfield.
Maybe Walker. he's probably the closest we have ATM to the tank and the effort.

Maybe Daisy...

Some satisfaction watching the James Hird press conference.

He is clearly a broken man and seems like he may bend and accept the punishment with the club.

He asked the journos to keep asking questions and is bearing his soul and you can see he is accepting of having his livelihood taken away from him for the good of the club.

Nearly as good as a win.

How bad was the Murphy fumble
Followed by a Waite fumble
No leadership bar the bearded one

Hmm Jeffy plays and we probably win

Armfield needs to go

I am convinced that if players like him and Curnow are not replaced then we will be mediocre for a while to come. I love their endeavour but they are simply not skilled enough.

It's a calculated PR stunt for Jimmy and the press are giving him the silver platter to serve it up on - if anything the presser is just rubbing more salt into the wounds.

Ironic that the only guy who wasn't injected, kicked the winning goal.

Mentally tough & hard mids that can use the ball.

Selwood, Dangerfield, OMeara, Jack, Hodge, Hanneberry etc. These types.

Not speculative types or recycled players.

Our midfield needs to be built around McLean, Graham, Gibbs, Murphy & Menzel. Depth of quality will make Gibbs & Murphy better.

After giving him 5 votes last week, today I have to say Robbo turned in the worst performance I've seen from a Carlton player this season (and that's saying a lot):

- turned into trouble every time he got the ball
- all disposals were either hospital passes or mindless hacks forward that were marked by Essendon* players
- mindless dumping of an opponent resulting in downfield free and momentum-shifting goal

Infuriating player, won't be sorry to see him cut.
