I was on the plane up to Sydney this morning, pissed off because they had run out of Melbourne papers so I couldn't read all about the Blues win over the Dees.

So I got to musing about how much each win in the harry potter cup would be worth in extra members.

I reckon a first round win does not add too much possibly 300-400 but a win in the second round like we have just had must add an extra 1000.

If we make it through to the GF then I think just the publicity alone would worth an extra 2000 on top of that.

Of course when we add the HP cup to our trophy cabinet there is every chance of pushing very close to the Filth and the Scum

I wouldn't want to make a quantitative guess, but I'd say there'd be a reasonably large bandwagon factor that goes with winning the Whizzer.

a fair bit little do the people who buy memberships now know that we end up getting the wooden spoon this year

then we end up placing our wooden spoon inside our wizard cup

this is useful because it saves space in our trophy cabinet

trophy cabinets really are expensive these days
