Well, our season would be over. There'd be no finals.

Sticks, will he leave early?

What's the chances MM gets sacked, 25% ..? Our list will get cleared out, we'll play kids and no one will dare mention the words tank, but we will all know we are.

malthuse is 1 % of being sacked.. considering he told the board where were at and the board didnt wanna listen.
in fact he has told them 3 times officially and many more times unofficially.
their minds are opening to it atm.

''My meetings with the players are about the strategies, which have just concluded [on Friday]. That meeting happened today. I don’t know where that rot has come from, in terms of my meetings.''

Then Mick's game plan was to keep work rate and 1%ers to an absolute minimum?

Forget about who we have appointed, but I can't remember the last time we actually went through the proper process when selecting a coach. Perhaps Ratten aside, we've always looked for the big name and the quick fix.

The lack of process is a huge part of the problem for mine.

Hypothetically if we went through a process before Malthouse, and the board asked the question: We have a shot at top 4 and a Premiership in the next 3 years what is your plan to achieve this?

How do you think the process would've played out? Would a potential coach come in and rubbish the list? Would a potential coach have us in any different position to what we are?

My opinion is we are a rubbish list and no game plan will get us to top 4, so in hindsight what would be the point of a process? I also think the Board has a vision they believe is achievable and would've picked the first person who agreed with them.

Now fast forward to when Mick retires, then we have an opportunity to go through a proper process and I would fully expect us to follow that path.

Pagan, Ratten and Malthouse were all appointed without a process. I'm not saying it's a full proof solution, but to not even consider others is short changing yourself.

Our board are blinded by big names and reputations. They also have an over inflated opinion of our list.

Agree. But even with a process we would've ended at the same result, what we call a charade.

AND Mick signed on the dotted line???

Somebody told me that Mick is the most motivated he has ever been in his coaching career - to prove those Eddie McGuire Pie Clowns wrong and snatch another flag with the blues, get to become a 4 time premiership coach - join Parkin, Sheedy, Matthews, Barrassi, and the other greats

I don't think Mick is a fool - a very intelligent operator.

Why would Mick select Kane Lucas, (your favourite player) as his favourite player last year Mr S??/

Just get it over and done with. This "gameplan" is terrible.

Give Swann a chance,

He is close to signing Cloke on a 9 million dollar 2 year deal and maybe Blair on a similar amount.

Also Swann may get twiggy Dunne and Daicos on the board
