Oh well. The way he played in the second half of last season, we won't miss him.

BennyVtown might be on to something here with his conspiracy theory about Essendong dudding Campo and picking up Lappin.

Gees you'd hope so. Essendon* investing in another Carlton player with one or two yers left in him, and Campo running around in the SANFL.

Bestill my beating heart.

That'd really throw a fire cracker in Campo's pants if Essendon* picked up Lappin instead of him.

The worst thing that could happen to Campo is Lappin entering the PSD.

C'est la vie if it happens.

It would be "nice" if he stayed and all that, but I think the club is right to hold firm on their offer.

I am a bit disappointed.

Lappo gave great service and actually played a huge part in winning some vital games for us over the years.

He should have been an all-australian two years running, took the mark of the year back in 1999 and gave great service to the club.

It is a shame......but i guess when a team loses over 10 games in a row some casualties will occur.

At least he got something out of his time at carlton and vica verca and was a member of 2005 wizzer cup team.

Wish I wasnt.. "i'd rather be happy than right"... four thumbs DOWN.

Campo can't re-sign with us AFTER the PSD... can he?

Now THERES a scenario i'm scared of...

If he re-signs with us, which I'm hoping he doesn't, after the PSD, it will be for so little money, he'd almost have to pay US!

Actually, THERE'S a scenario I'd like

I would of liked him to stay on the clubs terms but if he is seeking bigger dollars and is going to get them elsewhere then good luck to him

I for one will be sad to see him go and understand his reasons for leaving but am just as glad that the club did not buckle and give Skinny what he wanted

Synbad thanks for the info I for one have missed your posts

A sad day if he leaves.
Whilst the pigs had their heads in the trough over the past few years, Lappin sacrificed his dollars for the club.
He played great footy whilst others bled the club dry and put their hand out for twice his contract.

It's a matter of principle now. Those he sacrificed for 3 years ago are still only looking after themselves.

Good luck Lappo, I'll be sad to see you go.

Lappin to Hawthorn? They have a pick right after the Wobbles and could spoil Essenscums plans.

However, with Clarksons youth policy who knows.

Threads like this make me angry!
I dont want Lappin to go, personally, I believe we need him, I dont care about Campa (which is hard to say, because he had been my favourite player since I was around 12) but I dont want to see Lappin go to another club, I will be very upset... and unless you know this for a fact Synbad, I dont want to hear it and it is a horrible, horrible thing to do!!
You are in big trouble buddy!
So where are you getting this information from!?

Synbad wrote that Lappin will most probably not be at the club next year, he didn't write it as fact, so that's how it should be read. Considering he still hasn't signed a contract at this late stage, it's fair to consider he may play elsewhere. He did go to Joel Smith's wedding in Bali and Hawthorn have number 3 pick in the PSD. Thanks for the service Matty, but if you prefer to be somewhere else, then good.

Well then there is no need to state the bleeding obvious.
And I didn't say Synbad was stating a fact... :?
