The list goes on....
Could be worse, could follow Richmond....

Could have sworn Rogers was not head manager when we read those names?

He might have preferred someone different in every case.

Maybe, maybe not. As 2IC at that stage I'm assuming he had some say in the selections

And Hughes might have just ignored what he said. Who knows.

..the hype that this was going to be a rich draft of Kpp talent might just stay as hype.. ..it doesn't seem to be any better than the usual drafts.. ..no real standouts either as of yet, a bit of a raffle.. ..so we might do well by accident this year..

I'm really not sure about Tuohy.
Between 2011 and 2013 he was a world beater in defense as an attacking backman.
Has he peaked?
Is he playing injured?
Is he part of the future?

I had Tuohy, Garlett and Docherty as part of the future but form of late tells me they may be fair weather friends. Hope not.
I'm a fan of Bell and think he can make the grade, and fingers crossed Giles is the man to hold CHB/Swingman.
I believe Cripps has shown more than some give him credit for.

B: (3rd Tall) Jamieson Buckley
HB: (HB Flank) Giles (HB Flank).........Docherty, Tuohy????

C: Yarran Cripps Walker
R: Kreuzer Murphy Gibbs

HF: Everitt Henderson Thomas
F: Menzel (KPF/ Ruck) (Small Fwd).......Garlett, Caboult ????

Depth: Robinson Bell ...possibly Wood

I'm looking at life post Judd, Waite, Simpson Carrazzo Warnock Brock Lucas Ellard

Really not a big fan of Rowe and White, but if Rowe can improve on his recent good form...who knows.

If we can pick up say Frawley, attract a big trade and get our first pick right (or Boyd type from GWS and GCS), then we might only be 2 drafts away from top 4....but we dont have to track record to do that, but doesnt mean we cant.

If Tuohy Docherty Garlett Bell and Casboult stand up and improve, we are on the way.
Dont know about Graham Armfield Holman

Glass is half full imo.

Need better output from ruck
Need a KPF/ruck
Need a KPD.......................hoping Rowe improves and Giles makes it
Need 2 quality mids...fast ones Top 20 picks

Tuohy is a poor man's Marty Clarke and only capable of the odd moment of AFL quality play. He is seemingly forever out of position and this season oppoistion clubs have learnt to isolate his match-up down back.

The fact he is embedded in our starting 21 shows how poor we have become.

Don't agree. What did Marty Clark ever do to make him such a good player. Tuohy's certainly struggling at the moment. But he's a better player than Clark. And there's no way we would delist players of his talent.

Like Touhy's level of agro - he is a hard nut
But unfortunately doesn't get enough of it and can be taken to the cleaners 1 on 1
Had a very poor year and needs to improve significantly to stay in the side
For next year - assume Judd retires and Waite not re-contracted

Simo Jamo White (or Giles or whatever upgrade we can find in draft)
Docherty Rowe Yarran
Everrit Cripps Curnow (tagger)
Daisy Hendo Robbo
Menzel Casboult ??? Classy forward that appliers pressure and doesn't squib it (Judd if plays on)

Kruez Gibbs Murphy
I/C Buckley, Bell, 1st Rounder
Sub: Walker - poor year and don't know where he fits in the side, maybe try forward again - backline no good

So need at least 1 more key possie player and 2 more gun midfielders - hopefully find that from 9 or 10 picks

I think 7 or 8 picks/trade and 2 rookies as below (prefer Judd goes around 1 more year)

Delist / Retire
Judd (if doesn't go FWD pocket)
Waite
Duigan
Bootsma
Temay
Lucas
Watson
Ellard

Rookies
Scotland
Cachia

For myself
Delist / Retire
Duigan
Bootsma
Temay
Ellard

Rookies
Scotland
Cachia

Trade
Warnock (target top 30 pick)
robinson (cripps/bell coming through mean his time in team is limited) - also looking for 2nd round pick
Lucas/watson (for either player or sub 50 pick, otherwise retain on 1 yr deals)

Elevations
Wood

Resulting,
5 picks in main draft, 2 in rookie + 1-2 players traded in for lucas/watson.

Assumes Judd/Waite retained on 1 year deals

Following year - mclean, carazzo, judd, waite are retired off, salary cap space is freed up and we chase the biggest young free agent that we can get (walker, dangerfield, cotchin, steven, grant, leuenberger, bellchambers)

bit harsh on Doc here, he has had stuff all preseason, still young, new club, new game plan that doesn't make sense, give him time.

I think he will be a very good player for us, think he is just struggling with no preseason
