Rowe let is slip on radio this morning that we have 200m/400m runner training with us at the moment who we will draft. Looks like a Blicavs type scenario. His name is Fraser.

First. It's been discovered he is Fraser Russell. Played for Vic Country in 2010. There's a thread in the recruitment board.

Keep hearing kristian Jaksch named mentioned...
Reckon carlton will offer a player but, think they will end up with our second rounder..
Scott Lycett is another that we may look at, promising ruckmen that would replace warnock, don't be surprised if Garlett is used in that trade..
Kieran Harper is one I would look at from north..
What about Tim Membrey from the swans or Tom Mitchell??
Can Kreuzer play as a key forward?? If we pick up Lycett, kreuzer may have to alter he's position??
Would be a good outcome if we could land,
Jaksch, Lycett and Tom Mitchell or Tim Membrey and keep our first round pick..

I had an premonition that we traded our first pick to GWS for Shiel and Jaksch (may have involved a swap of later picks too).

Reasonably reliable poster on BF claiming club is making big play for T Boyd and think they are a chance.

Don't know about BF but I have been hinting that for weeks. The only question is how do we get it done?

First & Second round picks plus a player and a 5 year deal to Boyd? It will take us paying overs to get the deal done.

Yeah its one thing to say we're interested.

GWS aren't going to give him away.

No way is an unproven player worth that much.

He was pick 1, we will have pick 5-7. Add a player, or give us Jacksch for pick 2 on top.

Plenty of players to give, Walker, Robbo, Garlett, Warnock, Jamison, White who would be senior players at GWS.

Look at what Melbourne did from the Tyson trade. He was pick 3. Add a little to that.

That's the decision. There will be a number of clubs bidding for him IF he is available. That will drive up the price. The decision for us is how far do we go. As much as I would like Boyd at Carlton we have to be responsible as well as we need a lot of new talent not just one player.

Leave him alone then. Who says pick 5-7 won't be as good as Boyd? For every Kennedy and Roughhead, you have a Mitch Thorp or Luke Livingston

Adding to that Boyd wants to play for us too.

Tyson was contracted too just like Boyd.

Tyson (pick 3) + pick 9 for pick 2 and pick 20.

Boyd for pick 5/6 + second round pick? Probably not enough but adding a good player would seem like too much in comparison to the Tyson trade which gave 2 top 10 picks.

..boyd is still potential.... ..talked up as ready made, instant impact.. ..but he isn't, not yet.. ..and understandably so.. ..yes, we ought to be interested.. ..but is Boyd going to be better for us than say, Durdin..?..
