im calling it early ... Carlton by 4 goals.

I think we are in an good run of form (with the exception of one quarter against the swans) I think we are playing good footy for the last month.

Not convinced Cats are playing that well, even though they are winning ...

If you believe the footy adage that you start a game the way you finished the last one, expect a slow start....

We don't have enough fire power to beat this lot, but I expect us to be competitive. If we had Hendo, Yarran, Walker, Robbo & Everitt playing I'd give us a chance.

I'm assuming Yarran is out, and I reckon that will be the only change. You'd think his replacement is a choice between Armfield, Garlett & Lucas. Unless they want to throw a kid in like Holman or Byrne? Personally, I'd be happy to give one of the 3 forgotten WA boys one last chance to impress on the Friday night stage.

And I wouldn't lose any sleep if we dropped Brock for Johnson, but I suspect Mick recognises the importance of having some leaders in the side with our young players.

I haven't really been following how McInnes is going in the NBs but he cannot have lost all the skill he had when he first came on the scene. The thing he did not have in his recent senior appearances was confidence and Rowe has shown that that can be re-built. He will probably be discarded at the end of the season but I really cannot see how he could be any worse than Ellard and potentially has a lot more upside.

I meant a slow start all round. Although Geelong's opposition on the weekend was better than ours.

He should but he probably wont.
No Yarran is going to make it tougher.

Agree a huge loss plus no Yarran will make it more problematic.

Yarran is the biggest loss.

Geelong's press and defense is excellent. Hard creative midfield run and carry is the way we've always gotten close to the Cats (but obviously never won) ...

Can't see us winning if our only forward targets are Waite and Bell ......

Levi needs to have a big game.

Out: Yarran, McLean
In: McInnes?, Lucas

Will be interesting to see how Sheehan fares against much better opposition. Good luck

Ladder predictors are always good especially when you see how easily Essendon* and Collingwood could finish 9th and 10th.
