Brock won't be offered anything until after the season, if at all according to the Menzel article too.

Waite has put talks off. With whispers of Norf and wait for it, Essendon*, being interested.

Waite will stay, will be offered one year with option for a second year..
Brock McLean is gone..
Jaksch will be at carlton next year, will cost us a second rounder and a player. Have heard some whispers..
Sam Durdin is high on our wish list..
Our team could be,
Simpson Jamison Jaksch
Tuohy Rowe Walker
Yarran Cripps Thomas
Judd Henderson Everitt
Menzel Waite Casboult
Kreuzer Murphy Gibbs
I/C; Robinson Docherty Curnow
Sub; Buckley/Graham/Garlett/Bell/Johnson/Sheehan/Durdin (ease into it)
Looks ok to me, just my opinion though..

No way Durdin falls to us in the draft.

I think we should be trying to obtain another 1st round draft pick and possibly use it on Tom Mitchell if available, otherwise keep.

Never know...it could happen if the Dogs jump us by the end of the year. Saints to take McCartin. Lions to take Wright. Reckon Melbourne will take a mid and trade their compo. Giants will probably take a mid too.

I'm interested in Jake Lever. Admittedly I haven't seen him play given he's been out with a knee all year, but he was touted as a top 5 pick last year. We do like to take risks.

At this stage I'm hoping a Petracca or Brayshaw could be available at 5. You never know and IMO they are what we need.

I don't know how people can say Jaksch will be at Carlton. Although I am hopeful we are after him so will a number of clubs and we don't have a lot to offer. It's not about convincing him it's about convincing GWS.

At number 5 it will be an interesting pick. McMartin, Durden, Lever, McKenzie, Petracca, Goddard or Brayshaw. Hmmmmmm. Atleast two of these will be available. I don't mind young Cripps. Lots of upside, be a good tall option at around 23?

No judd??? Try the forward line kezza....
Every chance Durdin could fall to us, just like heppell was no chance getting past brisbane, or Daniel rich is a top 5 pick and made it to pick 7.. Selwood another example..
Durdin has had a few injuries also, but time will tell..
Inject Durdin and jaksch plus a mid and I would be happy..
Buckley and Cripps will also come in, along with Kreuzer.

Just like Docherty last year, if Jaksch picks us, satisfying GWS isn't a priority. He's out of contract, so IF he nominates us outright, then GWS won't have as much power as they think.

It's almost better than free agency really.

Second round pick. Lovely.
