Barks... you seem to be a good bloke... you had a reasonably clearly better team on the day... you just need to get tough on the girls/fat idiots/shit players who want to play for SS and play a team of 18 good 'uns. I take your point that, given your best 18 on the park for the whole game, you may have won more easily.... but please take our point that we, as fairly amateur shit footballers, get reasonably annoyed cashing 3 blokes because we don't know that they're shit because they're wearing red, white and black and are in our field of vision.

I would rather lose by 10 goals and play 18 men than lose by 4 and chase 3 blokes in the same pocket all game.

Leave the chicks on the bench and please ensure you only have 18 on the park at one time...or else.... it seems rather unfair to us..... and we have to wonder about your intentions...

.....I think PJ is summarising this fairly well, actually. We don't at all want to undermine your performance. You had some awesome players who were reasonably unstoppable. Saintsational played some excellent footy and are worthy winners.... but the day was somewhat soured by your teammates sneaking onto the ground and making it even more difficult for us to keep up....

don't get me wrong! our blokes who didn't show are total cauliflower and should be banned from all forums for 20 years!!!!

from a non-organiser point of view, I'd just love to see 18 on 18 having a go and seeing who was the better.......

I think PJ is saying that, despite our own soft-cock non-arrivals, it would have been nice to see a full Saintsational team give us a run, and not 22 headless chooks running around on the park undermining "the spirit of the game".

I had a great game. I thought it was played mostly in the right spirit. it would be great if that could be maintained even if a couple of females are allowed to play out of sympathy

i think that threatening abandoning certain forums is ridiculous. maybe in future we will have to make some kind of super-sub rules, where only injured players can come off throughout quarters, and all interchanging is done at the quarter breaks. at least this way there will be no confusion...

BTW, well said tyrant. we can go on about cheating and what not, but in the end, our best 16 (excluding those two "replacements") could not match it with there best 39......well done saintsational

I think barks is saying that its tricky to appease the 30 players he has who all want a game. Fair enough. We wouldn't mind the luxury of a bench and some additional interest from our Carlton peers..... but, ultimately, WE @#$%&! HATE having the 18+ players on the park..... I think the message, barks, is you have to get tougher on the extra blokes on the field and let your good players play more time and maybe beat us by more!!!!

no, thats a good point actually..... the guys who didn't show for us are total pricks of the highest order... but, at the pub, we came up with strategies, barks

but, either way, whether we're right/wrong/being pedantic/are shit losers..... we HATE having more than 18 to man up on.. even if we have only 16 in our team. Just something to bear in mind! Maybe we're crazy to want this, but we prefer the non-resting of good players and 18 on the park to the odd female or 7 year old stumbling onto the pitch..... it ruins our matchups!!!!!!

All day I was trying to manage 26 players!

Everyone wanted to play and some only played half a game!

I had at least another two players who were willing to play for TC and PJ declined!

They were dissapointed!

also the 7 yo I think walked on for about 5 minutes if that and suddenly he`s one of our 22 players for the whole quarter> very selective with the FACTS> maybe some of you need to be employed as spin doctors and write scripts for Howard

FACT is when we stuffed with your matchups by playing two girls and a 7 yo for a 5 minute wander> IN THE LAST QUARTER you actually got on top of us when all this alleged cheating was taking place and for the first time in the whole game outscored us by four goals to one

Having too many players on the ground, no matter their age, ability or duration on the ground, is cheating, and poor spirit for a social game.

John you mentioned the first quarter, that's when barks came off and Hurricane come on....yes barks did come back on and was telling Hurricane to come off, but in any case they both didn't get a possession in that quarter...

you mentioned the last quarter, I sat out the first half of the last quarter, two players came off and myself and another player came on, also a young kid came on, both myself and this kid just stayed on our forward line and we both didn't get a possession, as the ball was down your end for much of the last quarter.

To label us as "F@%&#! cheats" is low IMO

Just so you know. I posted and talked to PJ a fair while ago saying that i couldn't play, or might just be able to make it (cricket in the morning). I was still 50/50 until about 12pm when i got call asking if i could fill in for the seniors and i called PJ and told him i'm definitley ruled out.

What the hell is this crap about "1 EXTRA PLAYER IN THE 1st QTR"?

FACT:- We had 16 players on the ground in the 1st qtr.

FACT:- SS had 19 players on the ground in the 1st qtr and saying they had 1 extra.

If we had 16 players on in the 1st qtr then SS had 3 extra players on the ground. 2 up foward, 1 down back..................Oh yeah FACT BTW!!!!
