I hope this isn't with regards to Mitch Clarke. He said on SEN today he had heard of a new club entering the fray, but was still working on the details.

..cats maybe chasing Clark..

I want him to go to the Pies. He's a disaster waiting to happen.

Good a time as any to be exploring trades for Kreuzer and even taking a hit $$-wise with Warnock.

Ryder's chosen Port. Minson will probably stay at the Dogs. Minimal interest in Giles. Not a lot of quality ruckmen on the market - could see teams paying overs for the likes of Lowden and Grimley.

Zac Clarke is an interesting one. If we could orchestrate a straight swap for Kreuzer with a slight downgrade of pick, I'd be rapt.

Liam Jones-Bound for Carlton: Another useless Hack who couldn't even get a game at the Bulldogs. Good enough for VFL level but at AFL, he is not good enough for it.

I wish we could just stop filling spots on our List with recycled rubbish like we been doing for 10 years!!!

Yeah, Port are morons - that Jay Schulz trade. Done nothing! Can't believe they recruited Polec either - worst top 5 pick in ages, was in the QSFL most of last year! And what were they thinking with Matt White? Completely wrong age profile.

Not like we're innocent on this front either. Docherty and Everitt barely played for their clubs last year, and yet we paid top dollar for these hacks! We gave up Shaun Hampson for Docherty! HAMPSON! ...and MEGAN GALE! TITS!

This club I tells ya, Dodo. One of these days...

Carlton's Matthew Watson is a required player and will not be traded according to his manager on Trade Radio.

I had another go on Jimmae's famous Team Board last night.

Here is the list of players I am 100% comfortable with in the Best 22 for next season.

FB: Buckley <Tall Defender> Jamison
HB: Simpson Rowe Yarran
C: Thomas <Extracting Mid> Docherty
R: <Ruckman> GIBBS Murphy
HF: Menzel Henderson Everitt
FF: Walker <Tall Forward> <Crumbing Forward>
Int: Judd Bell White

Developing:

Cripps - Extracting Mid (Potential Star)
Casboult - Tall Forward (Potential Quality Forward)
Sheehan - Winger (Potential Consistent First 22 player)
Giles - Tall Defender (unknown quantity at this point)
Holman - Backup Mid (Footsolider maybe, needs to add a lot of size)
Graham - Backup Mid (Footsolider maybe, needs to add a lot of size)

This area is a huge problem.

Question Marks:

Kreuzer - Ruckman (Will he ever be the same again?)
Lucas - Winger (Can he improve disposal?)
Watson - Tall Forward (Can he make it as a forward)
Johnson - Not sure (What is his position of the list?)
Byrne - Not sure (What is his position of the list?)

Backups:

Armfield - Defensive Forward (Looked cooked this year / unsure why)
Curnow - Run with Mid (Runs and runs and runs, does he hurt opposition teams though?)
Wood - Ruckman (Not a great ruckman, but best healthy ruck we have)
Tuohy - Mid size defender (Has lost his way)
Carazzo - Run with Mid (On way too much money to be a backup) (Love Carrots but paying too much could we offload to anyone?)

Not required / To be traded:
Warnock (NR)
McLean (NR)
Ellard (NR)
Robinson (T)
Garlett (T)

In conclusion:

We need an amazing trade period.
We need to fill our 18-22 age bracket.

Someone want to have a stab at putting that through the "Trade Lingo Translator"

I'd interpret that as if he gets an offer from another club he should take it - otherwise he's still contracted with us so he can't stay.

Required by whom? His manager?

That's like my kids telling me they've been well behaved.

Couldn't agree more...we need to be bold and turnover players we are not getting enough out of.

The Hawks changed their destiny with one trade: Croad and MacPharlin for pick 1 and a few second rounders, which gave them an elite midfield for the next decade.

We need to load up on: 1. Hard midfield talent 2. Elite development coaches.

Our midfield is already middle of the road and now Judd is in last year and Robo is gone.

Mitchell seems to be staying at the Swans, the only other guys being discussed are unproven KP players, no mid's.

If we are going to keep the Watsons and Casbolts of the world, lets turn them into sharp shooters that convert opportunities on a regular / consistent basis.

What's with the obsession with GWS players who can't get a game for GWS. O'ROurke and JAksch might have talent and might have been high draft picks but they have cracked for only a handful of games for the worst performed side over the last few years. Is there seriously no talent at all in this years draft.

The plan for GWS concessions was that they would get millions of top ten picks to use on kids as well as trade them for esperience. BUT...
The GWS didn't play the game the way the AFL intended it to and ended up with a gaggle of young stars and no real leadership. The chickens have come home to roost. They could have traded one of their pick ones for someone like Frankling two years ago and maybe grabbed Gibs with picks three and four another year or something smilar and that was the AFL plan.
So we now have three or four or five tope three picks going for the one position and it doesn't matter if you are the third #1 pick in a row if the other two are in front of you. You might have been CHF for ollingwood in a normal year but now you're CHF for the Sydney Jets or someone. Tha's why they are in big demand. Some of these kids would have thirty or forty games under eheir belts under different circumstances.

GWS time will come but it will come when their list is balanced. Not yet. they have to offload a few talented kids first and get in more hard nuts and hundred gamers.

Everyone thought Jay Schulz was a spud at Richmond.... Now look at him
Same goes for Teddy Richards and many more

Liam Jones is a good get. Perfect project for Mick

Thoughts on Taylor Hunt from the Cats? Neil Balme on Trade Radio said he had opted out.

I have only see him play against us on the odd occasion - I always quite liked how he went went it, he seems to have the intensity we need, but probably battling for the defensive mid or fwd role? The one 'key' area where we have plenty of depth!

He's a curious one though, i like his ticker.

Fits the "played his best game against us ever" criteria so why not......

I'm not convinced Chris Scott is all that good at using his B graders.

Hunt appears a reasonable upgrade on an Ellard or even a Curnow. Much better kick, quickish and can play defensive and attacking footy.

Probably an OK pre-season draft sort of player by the sounds of it. He had a good year last year, not sure what happened this year at Geelong.

Haha thanks for the credit Dane.

After his spell as a back pocket, I'd much rather us have Sheehan in defence and Buckley in the forward line and then spells in the midfield. He'd bring the pressure, the run and has a nose for a goal and a pass.

With another pre-season, he'll be good to run out 20+ games for us.
