Look, I don't think anyone is saying:

"that Saintsational plotted to have extra players on the park so they'd win!!!"

I think its obvious that the extra players were allowed on, either knowingly or unknowingly, because you had about 30 players show up wanting a game, and were unsure what to do with them.

I wish we had the luxury of 30 players showing up!!! Its a good place to be!! But I reckon you'll just have to get tougher on some people, barks, and tell them they can't play. You have 22 play, a bench of 4, someone being diligent on the bench to ensure only 18 are on the park, and you'll just have to let some people down.

Its like the other night when I was in the hot tub with my Japanese harem, and another wanted to jump in with us... I had to be tough and say "look, sorry love... the hot tub's full.... but I've got some shirts back there you can iron for me... there's a good girl....."

I mean, she was hurt but she did say "OK RUKAS" and went about her business.

DISCLAIMER: Makiko is a lovely girl, and we do not indulge in such chauvanistic behaviour.... despite my best efforts

Just to add my 2 cents.

I've got a question Barks... if you aren't counting the girls and the 7 y.o. kid what would have happened if they'd kicked a goal... oh, hang on one of the girls kicked TWO. (one being my fault, was sure I had that smothered  )

And if we're going to be selective about the facts then may I point out that 'Owner' missed two shots on goal from 10m out and another was sprayed out on the full from the same distance by someone - all in the 4th Q. Then it all of a sudden becomes a much closer last quarter and your argument becomes somewhat muted that we had the better of you.

That being said kudos to SS, I still reckon you had the edge over us even if it was 18 on 18. Numbers 23 and 24 were great players (I suppose you don't have haircuts like that without being able to back it up!)

As for us, dissapointing to have so many dropouts but I'll leave that to others to berate them.

My votes:

DnZ - 3 votes, 4 goals and they weren't cheap goals standing on the goal line, worked hard with some nice runs up to the wings as well.

PJ - 2 votes, I wish I had that type of stamina. Also took out the title of 'Tackle of the Day' and 'Bump of the Day' of which I had front row seats to both. Awesome.

Fullmont - 1 vote. Ran hard and straight at the ball all day, 4 quarter performer

Special mention to Rod (Rocket) Bull (lovely goal on the run) and my mates in the backline (Tyrants and Benny) - how dare we expect to be able to man up on one person only.

To all those putting on the CFC and putting in, well done, especially to those who are of smaller stature - hope everyone had a good day.

you've done well awarding those votes. i could not seperate PJ, Dnz, Fullmont and yourself. all terrific performers and never dropped your heads. infact, i dont think anyone dropped their heads. tyrant could play in the carlton backline....SOS-like attributes...!
hopefully next time we will have Big Danny G and club 29....
i seriously cant see us being beaten with a lineup featuring those 2 and yesterdays 16....

My choice of words may have been a bit over the top, however, I still stand by what I said. I don't appreciate putting all the hard work into getting this game off the ground only to have it spat on by people who would rather tarnish the spirit of these games than get a clean win.

I'm not taking away the efforts of some of your players. Let's be honest, they were fantastic players. Onur, Dano, his brother, your ruckman, all were fantastic players, Barks, and it's good to get out there and have a hit out with them.

Despite the players you mentioned not registering a possession, they were still out there and capable of extending the margin even further. Had that been a close game and one of them had popped up with a match winning goal, then I would be more annoyed than I am now. Fortunately, that wasn't the case.

FWIW, I have only posted over at HHQ about the situation and won't be posting about it anywhere else. You obviously believe you didn't have 19 and 22 on the field at stages, so I guess we'll leave it at that.

I am a bit disappointed in some of the other comments over at SS about me taking too seriously. When it comes to football, I do take it seriously. I don't appreciate being told to lighten up because these games are just "pure nonsense and fun", so that makes it alright to bend the rules slightly.

Anyway, whatever, I'm over it.

Looking forward to playing you guys or some other forum in the near future.

Cheers.

Ok, enough huffing and puffing. Let's talk about the positives of the match.

I'm pretty chuffed with all the efforts of the blokes who ran out there yesterday. In pretty trying conditions (both weather wise and numbers wise) I felt that no one took a backward step and got on with the game.

Sensational efforts by a few of our new recruits. Bull, BNZ aka Nick, Nicko (gutsy little bloke), Danny and Shagger. The way you guys took to the game was fantastic and you all played a big part in our final score. I think we might have found our forward line for the future in BNZ, Bull and The Shag. Nicko worked really well wherever he played and Danny just ripped it up in the middle. Pretty good midfielder and I hope he comes back again, Tekno. Charles was a good target up forward nad I reckon he'll be a monty every time for the half forward flank if he decides to play again.

To the blokes who have played before, your efforts were faultless once again. I think now we have finally settled our backline in Tyrants, Orangelad, Benny and myself. Ryan and Lucas were pretty much under seige in the first quarter but stood firm and got on with it. It was a pity that we had nothing up the ground for them to kick to, so their efforts went unrewarded.

Fullmont was everywhere once again. If he wasn't going up in the ruck for the hitouts, he was underneath the pack jostling for the ball. I think moving me out of the ruck to CHB and you to the ruck worked an absolute treat. We should use that again in future matches. Well done on yet another good game.

The other blokes who have played before in Rod, Cammo, both Andys, Benny and Tekno, you all played brilliantly. Rod in the middle was a move that paid of very nicely and IIRC he ended up with 2 goals? Pretty good end to a hard day's work. Hopefully you can front up again for the next match against BB, because I think we are going to need all hands on deck for that one. Despite his own circumstances, Cammo battled pretty @#$%&! hard. His efforts in pulling himself out of bed, onto the ground and making a difference out there were bloody good. Had a hand in some nice pieces of play and help set up Bull for arguably Goal of the Day. Both Andys were good once again. Apologise for all the shit that went on before, WCB, and thank christ you were playing or we would have been further down the creek than we were. Another hard nut in the middle, who I hope to see playing with us again against BB. Slyuss was slight disadvantaged with a ripped toe nail but fought it off to go forward and jag two goals. @#$%&! great effort.

Benny, you were terrific in defence. As I said before, we are starting to form a solid backline and hopefully that doesn't break over the next few games. Loved your in and under work. Tekno, you played a pretty decent game. Had you down as a defender at first, but given the drop in numbers, we moved you forward and you gave us another tall option between half forward and half back. Thanks for your efforts.

My votes for the game are...

3, 2, 1 votes - Teknodeejay, Danny, Tyrants, Orangelad, Benny, Rod, Slyuss, WCB, Charles, Shagger, Nicko, Bully, BNZ, Fullmont and Cammo.

@#$%&! great effort.

Special mention goes to the two SS blokes who helped make up the 18. Thanks to Barks for giving them to us. Appreciate it.

Not even going to mention the blokes who didn't bother to turn up and didn't bother to notify me of them not playing.

Overall, I would like to think that we are developing a decent nucleus of the side i.e guys I know I can count on to put their hand up and play for us no worries. Add Club29, Barone and Chris to that nucleus, and we are looking at a decent group of blokes playing for the jumper. All is not lost. We'll saddle up and live to fight another day whether is be against SS, HHQ, BB, PRE or any other forum that wants to join the fold.

Cheers

John

Well said P.J. everyone put in 110%.

Well done for getting another game going cause these games are really good fun.

I am not giving 3,2,1. I just cant point out 3 of the best players everyone played really well BNZ 4 goals, Ryan and Luke down back just brick walls, P.J down back just all class and 2 @#$%&! shit hot tackles, Bull,Andy and The Shag up foward played really well. WCB just a tackleing machine and Singindablues is much like Club29 and Big Danny G, just cant speak highly enough. Great game Rocket!

Great game everybody, looking foward to the next game already.

In regards to the next match, who would everyone like to play?

BomberBlitz or should we source out the Collingwood, Melbourne or another site?

Likewise, Shag.

Anyone else reckon he looks a bit like Brett Backwell?

If we had 16 players on in the 1st qtr then SS had 3 extra players on the ground. 2 up foward, 1 down back..................Oh yeah FACT BTW!!!!

Excuse me> we gave you two players because collectively between three websites you could only russle up 16 players

So the FACT is you had 18 on there!

well done yesterday fellas. awesome to not hang our heads after the first three quarters and come out and really stick it to 22 players....and yeah thanks heaps for thos extra blokes barks.....that was awesome....guns of players.

well in my opinion, we had some damn stars out there yesterday including PJ, fullmont, tyrant, singindablues, and benny. fantastic effort backline, great effort by the middle and the forwards, well we battled and the addition of slyuss helped in the last quarter even though he only had one leg.

well done boys.....and holy crap im burnt.

Yep. No worries, Barks.

It's all good.

No need for slanging matches now. Let's get on with it or else these matches will go down the drain.

Also, I've put a post up on the Roo board about a possible match between us and them.

Hey PJ, I think what we talked about at the pub I think it was, about if we played either the Collingwood blokes or the Essendon* blokes, more would turn up.

But hey, doesn't bother me who ya's play, I'll be cheerleading again sort of.

Apologies gents for not being able to help you draw a bigger crowd with my sheer attendance alone.

I was there for a little while, perched above the Michael Tuck stand, watching you all train, and you all steal Wiggo's patented moves, the Can't Touch This, the Shake and Bake, the Hot Stepper, when all of a sudden the giant Wiggo signal appeared in the sky, and I had to be off, attending to evil-do'ers, fighting crime, serving the community in the like.

Sure it was just rescuing a cat from a tree, but the point was there.

After that I had to go to the laundromat and do my washing, but the Asian bloke who owned it wanted to fight me, unbelievable. I didn't have any loose coin on me, so I ripped out the cables from the back and jump started the thing instead. So I short-circuited all the power on Glenferrie Road for a few hours, big deal.......he should have had machines that accepted $50 notes, and believe me, Wiggo's wallet was chocfull of the pineapples that day, well, not so much more than a normal day anyway.

So kids, next time you intend on putting a cat up a tree, withdrawing from a forum match when you said you were going to play, or refuse to make sure laundromat washing machines are incapable of giving out $49.80 worth of change, just be aware that Wiggo is watching you, poised, waiting, crouching, squatting, and if it's Thursday, doing his pilates routine, and well, a bit more waiting as well, just waiting for you to slip up, make the wrong move, and BAM! POUNCE! Wiggo justice served in a a nice tall glass on the rocks, beyatch.

 there you go with your choice of words again!

BTW, did you not notice that a few of your goals in the last quarter were a direct result of your forwards outnumbering our backs 3 to 1?

Fair Dinkum we were 51 points up at 3/4 time and took a few of our best players off in that last quarter and far from cheating actually played a worse team just to give some people a run who had been sitting on the bench all day!

Also we played 16 guys and two girls against 18 guys for two whole quarters!

So the girls didn`t want to come off and just stayed out there in the last quarter> FAIR DINKUM> did I think anyone was going to care

Fair dinkum a 7 yo walks out 30 metres onto the ground for 5 minutes and suddenly he`s one of our extra players for the whole last quarter!

two girls and a seven year old> FAIR DINKUM

We actually played a worse team and that is called cheating!

Again did you not notice that your forwards out numbered our backs in the last quarter on quite a few occasions 3 to 1 and this also resulted in a few of your goals?

Did you not notice that you won the last quarter convincingly 4 goals to 1 while all this said cheating was taking place!

Is the penny dropping yet?

FAIR DINKUM THIS IS MIND BOGGLING IN THE EXTREME!

Also btw, I don`t seem to have the number we need to call to claim our sheep station> any of you guys have it?

You obviously believe you didn't have 19 and 22 on the field at stages, so I guess we'll leave it at that.

You quite obviously have read nothing or at least understood anything I`ve written!

Houston we have a problem

If we bring out the dirt patrol and dump on you guys, do not be surprised!

As for playing you again> don`t hold your breath!

It won`t be me organizing it!
