Fantastis news, this is enough to bring a few people back to be ing positive about the club. A club favourite, a fan favourite.

This is worthy of celebration - could some of you outline your favourite Skinny memory and I'm sure we can get something up on the site to celebrate....

ps Dont worry about Synbad, he even gets the weather right sometimes.

Favourite Lappin moment was in 2001 season when we played Essendon* in Round 18 on 5th August 2001 (the last game before I moved to the States). Lappin kicked 5 goals and in particular, one brilliant soccer goal that would have done Maradona proud. Carlton 16.6 102 Essendon* 14.11 95. Matty was sensational that day. I still hold out some hope that Matty will finish his career in the forward pocket where he used to win us a few games :-D

I was reading about some Carlton players from the 20's and 30's and how they WANTED to play for Carlton as they loved the club. One stood out of football (i forgot his name.. darby?) just so he could play for the beloved blues. money wasn't a consideration.

Then there was when Tommy Downs was suspended and 2000 people turned up outside league headquarters to protest against it. The club was everything in those days.

Lappo is carrying on a proud legacy and thanks Lappo for wearing the navy blue again... you are true blue in my opinion.

Favourite Lappin moment was his goal against the scum back in round 3 or 4 of 2001. Span out of trouble, then loaded up with a barrel from inside the centre square.....ball bounced and bounced and finally passed over the line.....
