So are we going to play each other again?

I agree with the idea of moving away from the wing and more to the pocket, but I don't agree with discounting girls as part of the 18 on the field. The blonde haired girl was quite capable of playing football as evident through her two goals and her skills in the warm up. So, if the girls want to play again (which they can), I'd like to see them counted in the 18 as they are capable of playing. Same should be applied to anyone else. If they want to play, they should be counted in the 18 regardless of age of ability.

Thanks barks

Good to see cool heads are prevailing here. I and I'm sure everyone else from both sides came away from the day with really good vibes about the whole thing. I think we'd agree that yes there has been some, er 'bad blood' between our sites at times, but these forum matches are a great counterbalance to that.

The worst possible result would have been for one group to decide the show wouldn't go on.

Good idea to have both groups of supporters a little closer - it would also be great if you blokes manage to join us for a post match beer next time :P

Cheers

Hopefully get to play each other again, but I doubt it'll be this summer.

We've got at least two matches planned already against Collingwood and Essendon*. We'll most likely play Collingwood first, by the way. So I can't see where we would fit another SS game in this summer. HHQ might want to play us at some stage as well.

See what happens, I guess.

SAINTSATIONAL ARE A CANCER ON OUR GAME... AND.....

oh wait.. sorry.. its "cool heads" today.....

SAINTSATIONAL ARE ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLRIGHT!!!!

Barks, we were commenting that you guys don't come out and drink with us after the game. Why is that? That would be fun. We'll sit in that pocket with ya if you'll have a drink with us.

BTW, the Shag is too embarrassed to say anything, but can you say "hi" to Bianca for him? A PM from her would be nice as well. ta!

I`m still in favour of allowing at least two girls to play and not having them counted in the 18!

If it helps we`d be prepared to allow Deano Supremo to be counted as one of your chicks!

Would love to get FireArm Fevs back on board for the Collingwood game.

Has only played once for us, but he was an absolute gun.

Also, I'm searching far and wide for a former player in Kouta43. The blokes who played in the first match will remember him. He absolutely killed it in the middle.

Why?

The girl you played kicked two goals. If we happened to be 11 points up and she nailed those two goals as a "non counted" player, that'd be pretty disheartening.

Also, it's almost discriminating against them. You're letting them play, but not actually accepting them as players. If they're out on the ground and they have two legs, two arms, can run and kick a ball, then they are players.

WCB has put this up over at Collingwoods site, and have stared getting some good feedback.

They also have another forum they can get to join them so numbers will not be a problem for them, and they are already asking for a date to be set.

a guy from that collingwood forum just proposed Dec 4th (which is the first weekend of December anyways 8) ) as a date. they have quite a few numbers already... should we pursue this? Seeing as BB and Collingwood are keen, could we play back-to-back weekends?
