On the other matter of SOS being a senior coach, I can't really see it to be honest. Maybe his role at the Dogs will allow a budding flower to blossom, but I reckon it may only be a day lily if that is to be so.

I'd be keeping a closer eye on Dean and Ratten's progress through the coaching ranks.

Ultimately we want the best person available coaching the club at any given time, if they have a Carlton background that makes a nice story, but nothing makes a better story than winning finals, and winning premierships. Best coach available, regardless of background, that's who we should always be aiming for.

Jo Bailey - Silvagni is a chartered accountant and has a commerce degree. If you've ever had the chance to chat to her you'd know how smart she is.

Silvagni is very different one on one to on the tv. TV seems to make hium nervous. In an open chat he's pretty fair, dont know about boring.

He's got the knowledge so worth a try. My only question is what good did he do for Livingston?

SOS is the best fullback ever. He played on the best forwards ever like Ablett , Carey , Lockett and Dunstall and constantly beat them or at least broke even.

I watched Southby play a bit too and he was very very very good.
Doull was a star.

I reckon sos woiuld make a decent coach. Just needs to speak a bit more clearly.

This was the most important part of the article. It great to hear Jack & Co keeping the faith.

Luckily SOS has played a gazillion games coz, knowing the AFL, probably by 2010 your dad will have to have played 300 games to qualify for a father-son pick-up
